According to the UK Treasury Department, this action has been taken against British Sikh businessman Gurpreet Singh Rehal, who is accused of being associated with organizations spreading terrorism in India. His assets have been frozen and he has been disqualified from the post of company director. Under this, Rehal will no longer be allowed to become the director of any company or operate any company directly or indirectly.

Babbar Akali Lehar’s property also confiscated
In the same case, the British government has also issued an order to confiscate property against a group called Babbar Akali Lehar. The government said that this group was also involved in activities like recruitment, arms procurement and funding for Babbar Khalsa.

What is the legal basis?
This action has been taken under the Counter-Terrorism (Sanctions) Regulations 2019, which gives the right to freeze assets or impose economic sanctions on individuals or organizations associated with terrorism in the country. It is noteworthy that Babbar Khalsa has already been declared a banned and terrorist organization.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has finally identified the mysterious person who helped in the bomb test on Vancouver Island a few weeks before the Air India bomb on 23 June 1985.
