The festival of sacrifice, Eid ul Azha i.e. Bakrid is being celebrated today with full devotion and devotion in entire Rajasthan including the capital Jaipur. On this occasion, special Bakrid prayers were offered in mosques and Eidgahs and prayers were offered for the progress of the country and peace in the world. Despite protests and objections, Namaz was offered on the streets even today at many places including Idgah in Jaipur.

However, Congress party MLAs and people from the Muslim community who offer Namaz on the streets are saying that it is necessary and those who are raising questions and protesting are wrong. Namaz offered on the road in Jaipur

Nearly one lakh people offered namaz together at Eidgah in Jaipur. The capacity of the Idgah campus here is barely five to seven thousand. The rest of the people offered namaz outside the Eidgah on the Jaipur Delhi Highway. Delhi Jaipur Highway remained closed for a long time due to Namaz. Along with Idgah, prayers were also offered on the road in many other mosques including Jama Masjid of Jaipur. However, Vishwa Hindu Parishad protested against this and demanded from the Bhajan Lal Sharma government of the state to impose a complete ban on offering Namaz on the streets by implementing the Yogi model of UP in Rajasthan also.

BJP advised people, Congress opposed

Along with Vishwa Hindu Parishad, BJP MLA from Hawa Mahal seat of Jaipur city, Balmukund Acharya also raised questions regarding Namaz on the streets and advised the Muslim community not to offer Namaz on the streets and to celebrate the festival by cutting cakes instead of sacrificing animals. However, Congress Party MLA Rafiq Khan has expressed objection to these statements. He accused BJP of dividing the society and said that BJP always works to spread hatred.

After Bakrid namaz in Jaipur, people hugged each other and congratulated each other on the festival. In homes, each other’s mouths were sweetened with the help of seviyan. Along with this, sacrifice rituals were also performed at many places. In the Eidgah of Jaipur, the youth were advised to avoid drugs and special prayers were also made for it.

Bakrid celebrated with great enthusiasm in Mewat, prayers sought for country’s progress and brotherhood
