BJP Attack Congress: India’s politics has once again been hot on the issue of national security. The BJP has retaliated after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s comments on Rafael aircraft and Indian Air Force. BJP leaders allege that the Congress is deliberately speaking the language of Pakistan and hurting the reputation of the Indian Army.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, taking a dig at the Congress in a press conference, said, “The proof gang has become active again.” Patra said that Rahul Gandhi is only interested in how many aircraft India lost, while India’s military achievements are being rejected. He also alleged that Sonia Gandhi cried when the terrorists were killed and Rahul Gandhi celebrated after 26/11 attacks. Patra claimed that India has destroyed 9 terrorist camps and 11 Pakistani airports and satellite imagery is present as proof.

“Congress leader like Pakistan’s PR agency”-Amit Malaviya
BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya also made a sharp comment on X (East Twitter). He objected to Revanth Reddy’s statement in which he asked, “How many Rafael did Pakistan kill?” Malaviya said that if Pakistan had claimed this, it would have evidence – Malba, satellite image or integrity of international agencies. He alleged that Congress leaders WhatsApp forward or social media rely on rumors and weakens national security. He wrote, “The Congress is behaving like Pakistan’s PR agency.”

Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi’s statements
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asked Prime Minister Modi at a recent rally that how many Rafale aircraft were killed by Pakistan in a recent struggle. Along with this, he also questioned why an all -party meeting was not called before the war and accused the BJP government of failing to withdraw PoK. Rahul Gandhi, Foreign Minister S.K. Jayashankar accused that he informed Pakistan about the attack and asked, “How many aircraft did we lose? Who authorized it?”

Accused of question or treason on Congress?
The main question in this entire controversy is whether the opposition parties raise questions can be called anti -national? Is asking the question is a crime in democracy or does it fall under the category of treason? The BJP believes that when it comes to national security, the opposition should not doubt the army. At the same time, the Congress says that asking the government questions is their constitutional right and their duty to ensure accountability to the public.

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully conducted the release trials of the long distance glide bomb (LRGB) ‘Gaurav’ from Sukhoi Fighter Jet SU-30. During these trials, the weapon was integrated at several stations in various war conferences, which had a target on an island. The tests successfully performed with accuracy up to 100 km.

Characteristics of Gaurav Bomb
The weight of the Gaurav bomb is 1,000 kg square. It has been designed and developed indigenously on behalf of Research Center Imrat, Ordnance Research and Development Establishment and Integrated Test Range Chandipur. INS and GPS data have been combined with highly accurate hybrid navigation schemes. Talking about capacity, Gaurav Bomb is capable of penetrating long distance goals with accuracy.

It was tested (8–10 April 2025) by SU-30 MKI aircraft. Gaurav Bomb was successfully performed with accuracy up to 100 km. Adani Defense Systems and Technologies and Bharat Forge will form it.

Posted on X on behalf of the Defense Minister’s office, it was said that DRDO India has successfully conducted successful tests of Long Range Glide Bomb (LRGB) ‘Gaurav’ from SU-30 MKI during 8-10 April 2025. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, IAF and industry for successful development tests of ‘Gaurav’. He said that the development of ‘Gaurav’ will further increase the capabilities of the armed forces.

These tests have paved the way to include this weapon in the Indian Air Force, which is an important step in strengthening India’s defense capabilities. The Indian Air Force did not have any such glide bomb during the Balakot air strike. In such a situation, Israeli’s Spice-20,000 bombs were dropped from the Mirage fighter jet of the Indian Air Force on the training camp of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.
