The dispute in other states has now reached Bihar over the ban on the entry of the Muslim community in the Dandiya program to be held in Navratri. There was a meeting in Nawada on Wednesday (September 24, 2025) on behalf of different organizations. Strict warnings were issued to the organizers by organizations like Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Seva Sansthan that non-Hindus should not enter any circumstances.

In the name of making a Hindu, threats like applying tilak and drinking cow urine have been threatened. This warning is going to increase tension at the local level, while similar disputes across the country are emerging with garba events.

Dandiya program is being held in many places in Nawada

Dandiya program is being held at three major places in Nawada. These include a two -day program at Gandhi Inter Vidyalaya and one -day event in Vijay Cinema Hall. The third place is a large -scale Dandiya event locally. In the context of all these events, Bajrang Dal District Convenor Aneesh Singh, VHP District General Secretary Subodh Lal and Chhatrapati Shivaji Seva Sansthan Secretary Jitendra Pratap Jeetu held a meeting with Dandiya organizers on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the organizations said in clear terms that if any non-Hindu enters the program, it will not be spared. The organizers were called to the temple of Sahab Kothi and warned that if the non-Hindu entry should not be strict, otherwise they will be put tilak and conversion will be done by drinking cow urine.

Dandiya organizers accepted the warnings of organizations. He said that we never invite non-Hindus nor will we do it. Our programs are only for the Hindu community. However, the organizers expressed concern about how the safety of the programs would be ensured among such threats. He informed that all the events are being held with permission from the district administration and the security system is completely dependent on the administration.
