PAK vs BAN 1st Test Day 1 Highlights Scorecard: Pakistan cricket team has come into action immediately after the conclusion of PSL 2026. The Pakistan team is on Bangladesh tour, where the first test match between the two teams has started from May 8. In the first Test match being played in Dhaka, Bangladesh team has scored 301 runs after losing 4 wickets till the stumps on the first day. The dominance of the batsmen was seen on the first day and captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto scored the 9th century of his Test career. Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das are standing at the crease till the stumps.

Pakistani bowlers got oil

In this match, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi gave a good start to Pakistan as Mahmudul Hasan (8 runs) and Shadman Islam (13 runs) were out early. After that Mominul Haq and Nazmul Hussain Shanto made the Pakistani bowlers yearn for wickets. Both made a partnership of 170 runs. Mominul Haq was out after scoring 91 runs and missed scoring the 14th century of his Test career.

Shanto scored 101 runs, which is the 9th century of his Test career. Bangladesh’s fourth wicket fell at the score of 276, after which Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das took the responsibility on their shoulders and did not let any wicket fall till the end of the day.

Mominul Haq missed out on creating history

Mominul Haq was out after scoring 91 runs in 200 balls. If he had completed the century, he would have become the batsman who has scored the most centuries for Bangladesh in the history of Test cricket. Currently, both Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haq have scored 13 centuries each in Tests for Bangladesh. As soon as he scored his 14th century, Mominul would have gone ahead in this list. Apart from these two, Tamim Iqbal was the only batsman who had scored 10 or more centuries for Bangladesh in Tests.
