Bangkok earthquake update: A disastrous earthquake struck the capital of Thailand in Bangkok on Friday, after which a 33 -storey building collapsed like cards. So far 17 people have died and 32 people have been injured in this accident. 83 laborers are still missing since the earthquake. This building was being built by a China -supported construction company, after which questions are being raised about this incident. The question is whether it was just the effect of earthquake or this accident happened due to disturbances in construction?

Actually, there are many skyscrapers in Bangkok, but only this under -construction building suffered heavy losses during the earthquake. The project was being run under the State Audit Office of Thailand (SAO). Its cost was more than 2 billion Thai Baat (about 50 thousand crores). After this incident, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Anuutin Charanvirakul has ordered an inquiry. He said that a committee has been formed, which will have to submit a report within seven days.

Shocking report surfaced after the building collapsed

A shocking report has also surfaced after the building collapsed. Four Chinese citizens have been arrested for stealing 32 important documents from there. On the other hand, the Governor of Bangkok has declared this place a disaster sector. Now only authorized people can go here. The building is being constructed by Italian-Tailed Development PLC (ITD) and China Railway No. 10 (Thailand) Limited. The Chinese company had a 49% stake in this project, which is the maximum limit of foreign ownership under the Thai law.

Questions raised on security standards

The project was to be completed by 2026, but it was lagging far behind the scheduled time. According to Thailand’s Deputy Auditor General Sutipong Bunnithi, only 30% of the construction work was completed. The president of Thailand’s anti-corruption institution, Mana Nimtamongkol, said that his organization had earlier expressed concern about this construction work. The number of laborers here was less than necessary. Due to haste in construction, the standards are feared to be compromised.

Bangkok earthquake: The Thailand Police has detained 4 Chinese citizens on Sunday (March 30, 2025) for illegally entering the building under construction. Thailand police say that these four were trying to remove the document from the building site.

The China -backed construction firm is being investigated in the case of the collapse of the 30 -storey building under construction during the earthquake on Friday as the incomplete building collapsed in a few seconds. Dozens of people got trapped under the debris. According to a report in National Thailand, Metropolitan Police Bureau Deputy Commissioner and Police Major General Nopasin Poolswat said that four Chinese citizens have been arrested for illegally removing 32 files of documents from behind the State Audit Office (SAO) building without permission.

After the earthquake, the Governor of Bangkok declared the area a disaster sector, causing this to become a restricted area, where no one was allowed to go without permission. However, the police said that on Saturday, they received information about removing the documents from some persons from the site. During the investigation, he saw a Chinese person near the spot who claimed that he is the project manager of a building construction project.

Police seized 32 documents

During the investigation, it was confirmed that the arrested person had a valid work permit and his company was employed by a joint venture with Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited, the contractor of the building under construction. The National Thailand report said that the police also caught three other people and seized 32 documents with them, which had many types of documents.

The four told the police that they work for a contractor under the Italian-Thi Development Public Company Limited. He said that he had gone to receive the documents required for the insurance claim, which was kept in a container which was being used by the company as a temporary office. After interrogation, the police temporarily released them.

Case filed against 5 Chinese citizens

Bangkok earthquake: More than 1600 deaths have been confirmed so far in the disastrous earthquake on Friday (March 28) in Myanmar. There is a possibility of killing 10 thousand people here. At the same time, this earthquake also led to 18 deaths in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Out of these 18, 11 deaths occurred due to falling only one building, whose video is viral on social media for the last two days. Now a big controversy is arising in Bangkok regarding this building.

Actually, Bangkok is full of skyscrapers, but only a tall building collapsed during the earthquake. Interestingly, this building was building a Chinese company. It is also surprising that the Chinese company was also having big boars for this building. It was being said that this building would be the strongest building in Bankock. But see the havoc of nature that he only chose it in hundreds of buildings.

5 billion building, destroyed in 5 seconds
This building was being built for the State Audit Office of Thailand. It was being made together with Italian-Tahi Development PLC and China’s railway number-10 engineering group together. There was a deal to build this building for 5 billion rupees. Its work was going on for the last three years. The building was almost complete and only outside work was left but before the inauguration, the building became grounded.

The 30 -storey building fell into the early tremors of the earthquake. When this accident happened, dozens of people were working here. Till now, not all people have been removed from its debris. On the other hand, now the tone of protest is also being heard in Bangkok regarding this building. This is the reason that the Thailand government has put an investigation on the fall of this building.

Investigation report sought within 7 days
Thailand’s Home Minister Anutin Charanviku has sought the findings of the investigation within seven days. He said on Sunday that a committee has been formed to investigate and it is expected that the investigation will be completed in seven days. He said, ‘Thailand will soon find out why the building collapsed. It was just made and should have been designed to withstand the earthquake.

The Home Minister said, ‘The earthquake was of intensity of 7.7 but more than 95% of the buildings were faced. Only the state audit building collapsed. This building was new. Therefore, it should have faced earthquake. He said that the investigation will focus on architects, construction supervisors and builders. In this case, Thai and Chinese partners will have to share responsibility.

Chinese employees stole documents
During this time, four Chinese employees were also questioned for efforts to disappear the documents related to the construction of this building. 32 files were found from containers behind the collapsed building. The police have seized these documents. On the other hand, China is also in action and has sent an expert to inspect the collapse and find out the reason for its fall.

Myanmar earthquake: The horrific earthquake in Myanmar on Friday (March 28, 2025) has caused huge devastation. So far, the number of dead has reached 1700, while 17 people have lost their lives in neighboring country Thailand. Earthquakes have collapsed buildings, bridges have fallen and roads have been damaged.

Amidst this devastation, the shadow of Myanmar has announced a unilateral partial ceasefire to expedite relief work. According to news agency AP, the number of injured has increased to 3,408, while 139 people are missing. Officials are warning that the number of dead may increase further with search and rescue operations.

5 important updates related to earthquake

1. Mandalay city affected the most
The earthquake had a profound impact on a population of 1.7 million in Mandle city. The 6.7 intensity shocks here spread panic among the people. Local people themselves are also engaged in relief work to save the people trapped in the debris.

2. Local people are looking for dead body by removing debris
Local tea shop owner Vin Lvin said that 7 people died in the rubble of his restaurant. According to the news agency AFP, he is trying to remove the dead body by removing the bricks but he does not expect that someone will be alive.

3. India sent relief and rescue assistance
India has sent necessary supply, medical equipment and rescue teams to Myanmar. 5 military aircraft have arrived with relief materials, including the 80 -member National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team and a military regional hospital. Apart from this, 40 tons of human assistance is being sent from INS Satpura and INS Savitri.

4. United Nations and Relief Agencies concern
The United Nations has warned that Myanmar does not have enough medical facilities. 3.5 million people are displaced in this country already facing civil war and the danger of starvation has increased. Relief agencies said that Myanmar was not ready for this level disaster.

5. Destruction in Thailand, 17 killed
The earthquake demolished a 30 -storey building under construction in Bangkok, killing at least 17 people and 32 injured. 83 people are still missing, who are expected to be buried under the rubble. The rescue team is trying to save people with the help of drones, investigative dogs and excavation machines.

Earthquake in Bangkok: The tremors of a strong earthquake in Myanmar caused huge havoc in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. So far 10 people have died in this disaster, 16 people have been injured and 101 people are missing. According to Thailand’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department (DDPM), Bangkok and two other provinces have been declared an emergency disaster area. Officers are assessing losses in the affected areas. DDPM Director General Fasacorn Bunyalak said that the earthquake has caused damage in 14 provinces.

On Friday, people who escaped from the fierce earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand shared their story. He told about the horror incidents and difficult situations that he faced.

‘Was like a nightmare for me’

According to The Hindu report, 55 -year -old accounts and tax consultant SK Jain, who lived in Bangkok, went to the Jewelery Trade Center (JTC) in the Silom area for a meeting on Friday. At 1:16 pm, when they reached the 40th floor of the 59-mangila building, they messaged a colleague that they would return later. But after two minutes, the entire building started shaking. Mr. Jain recalled that he was trapped in the tall building during the earthquake.

He told, ‘This was a terrible experience, the most scary moment of my life. I was very nervous. The first shock was felt at 1:18 pm. The curtains in the room where I was, started moving more than one foot. It looked very scary. We all quickly ran towards the stairs. Some people told that they had left their eight and 10 carat diamonds on a table while running outside.

He further said, ‘When we reached the 21st floor, the second shock was felt. At that time we were between the 18th and 21st floors. The stairs started moving loudly. I was missing every god at that time. I felt that I would not be able to escape, but somehow I reached 40 floor below in 7.5 minutes. More than 1,500 people also came down with me. In a hurry, many people also left their phones in the office.

‘People could not stand on their feet’

The same thing happened to 56 -year -old Shikha Rastogi. Shikha, working at Bangkok’s Global Indian International School, was having lunch in ‘The Big Tree’ restaurant with her colleagues, when the earthquake occurred. At that time, she was talking to her sick husband on the phone, when the chandeliers started moving fast. Nervous and all the people present in the restaurant started running out. The shocks were so fast that many people were not able to stand without support. Her van left the hotel at 1:30 in the afternoon, but the traffic was so much that her colleagues reached 9:30 in the night. However, luckily reached home in three hours.

Shikha told, ‘When I reached home, my building was closed. The police did not let me enter the street of my apartment, which was one kilometer from the main road. I had to convince them that I live there and I have to go to my sick husband. He further said, ‘When I went inside, I tried to find my husband. There was darkness all around, shops were closed, and I was very nervous. Then I saw them sitting on a pillar.

Myanmar earthquake death: The earthquake in Myanmar on Friday (28 March 2025) caused huge havoc. The team of the State Administration Council of Myanmar said that 1002 people have died due to this earthquake, while 2376 people are injured and 30 people are missing. The intensity of the earthquake was 7.7 intensity, after which there were huge problems in transport and communication networks, yet rescue operations are going on fast.

10 thousand people are feared dead

According to the Reuters report, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has feared that the death toll in Myanmar may reach more than 10,000. At the same time, 10 people have died due to falling 30 -storey building in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The most affected areas of earthquake in Myanmar are Mandley, Bago, Magway, North-Eastern Shan Rajya, Sagiing and Napi Taw. The Yangon-Mandala highway has been severely damaged, causing difficulties in relief work.

India sent help under Operation Brahma

India has started Operation Brahma to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Myanmar. Under Operation Brahma, India has carried out the first consignment of 15 tonnes of relief materials including tents, blankets, sleeping bags, food packets, hygiene kits, generators and essential medicines, keeping in mind its Neberhood First and Act East Policy. South Korea has talked about the help of US $ two million through 2 international institutions.

Indian Navy ships INS Satpura and INS Savitri moved towards Yangon port with 40 tons of human assistance. New Zealand has announced a two million New Zealand dollar help to Myanmar. China and Russia have also sent their rescue team to Myanmar.

Children died due to school collapse

According to the BBC report, 12 children and teachers have died due to the collapse of a school in Mandle area. The rescuers said that about 50 children and six teachers were missing after the building collapsed. He told that we have removed only 13 bodies. Red crosses and social support groups are helping in defense. Due to the earthquake, houses and shops in the town also collapsed.

Myanmar appeals to help

Senior Myanmar leader General Min Aung Hlying has appealed to local and international communities for humanitarian aid. Myanmar is facing a big challenge in recovering from one of the most powerful earthquakes at this time. Due to the deterioration of important infrastructure and the closure of the essential services, quick relief efforts are needed to help the remaining people to resume their lives.

Earthquake in myanmar: On Friday (March 28) in Myanmar, the earth was drowned by hundreds of lives. Many areas of the country came under earthquake. The death toll has crossed one thousand, while the number of seriously injured people is also two and a half thousand. Hundreds of lives are still missing. In such a situation, it is feared that the death toll may cross the 10,000 mark.

Along with Myanmar, the land of Thailand was also shivering. However, there was not much loss of life there. There is information about the death of 10 people in Thailand. The earthquake saw terrible damage in the capital Bangkok. Gaganchumbhi buildings were seen to be dumped, which has created a possibility of their weakening. A large building under construction was also seen falling.

However, relief and rescue operations are going on in Myanmar. The bodies are coming out of the debris spread around. Countries around the world are sending relief materials. The Government of India has also sent 15 tonnes of relief material. There is also a big thing that even after this earthquake, there are many shocks back to back in Myanmar.

15 earthquakes within 10 hours
According to the US Geological Survey, a total of 15 earthquakes occurred in Myanmar within 10 hours on Friday. The first earthquake was of 7.7 intensity, which is given above the description of the catastrophe. Even after this, earthquakes of low and high intensity continued to occur. An earthquake also occurred of 6.4 magnitude. In such a situation, the people of Myanmar are currently living in the shadow of fear. However, this is not the first time when there were so many earthquakes in Myanmar. There is a long history of earthquake here.

Why do I come to Myanmar so much earthquake?
Myanmar is located on the border between two tectonic plates. This is called the saging area. Myanmar is one of the most seismically active countries in the world. However, large and disastrous earthquakes are rarely seen in the saging area.

Professor and earthquake expert Joanna Fore Walker at University College London told in a conversation with Reuters, ‘India plate and eurasia plates run in different directions. One north and the other south. It passes through the middle of Myanmar. The plates pass through each other horizontally at different speeds. This causes “strike slip” earthquakes which are usually less powerful than earthquakes in areas like Sumatra, where one plate slips under the other.

Why was Friday’s earthquake so devastating?
British geologist Roger Musus told Reuters that the low depth of the earthquake means that the loss would be more serious. The center of earthquake in Myanmar was at a depth of just 10 km. That is why the loss was more. He said, ‘Shockwaves are not destroyed when the earthquake is a center from the center of the earthquake to the surface. In such a situation, the buildings have to face the strength of shaking. This is what happened in Myanmar.

Myanmar earthquake: The earthquake in Myanmar on Friday (March 28) has caused havoc. According to the latest information, the death toll has crossed 1000. This information has been given by the ruling party Junta. He told on Saturday (March 29) that 2,376 people have been injured in the earthquake so far. This powerful earthquake came to the west of Mandalay, the second largest city of Myanmar, on the afternoon of Friday (March 28). Its intensity was so high that its effect was felt in other major places including the capital Napatavat.

Mandalay, which is the important economic and cultural center of Myanmar, was the most affected by the earthquake. There are reports of the collapse of buildings and damage to buildings in many areas including the capital. After this devastating earthquake, the search and rescue operations are being carried out rapidly, but the authorities have warned that many people may still be trapped under the rubble. In such a situation, there is a possibility of an increase in the number of casualties. Rescue teams and local officials are constantly making efforts to evacuate people as much as possible.

Status in affected areas
The earthquake has caused havoc in various parts of Myanmar, especially in the Mandalay region. Napatavat, the capital of Myanmar, also did not remain untouched by this shock, where citizens felt the tremors of earthquake. Myanmar is facing difficulties in providing immediate relief to the affected people due to lack of emergency services and limited resources.

Future challenges
This disaster has not only destroyed the lives of the people, but has also caused serious damage to the infrastructure. Experts believe that in the coming days, Myanmar will need international assistance for relief and reconstruction. The Juilt government is collecting its resources to face this crisis, but the process of removing people buried under the debris and providing relief in the affected areas is still going on. During this time, countries around the world have come forward to help. India has already delivered 15 tonnes of relief material. US President Donald Trump has also announced help.
