After leaving power in August 2024, Hasina had been continuously blaming America and Pakistan, now she is adopting a very measured and restrained stance.

In a recent interview she said that she does not blame any one country. According to him, the political situation was worsened by giving him wrong information and the role of Mohammad Yunus was more important in this whole story. Hasina softens after allegations against Mohammad Yunus

Hasina, who once described Yunus as America’s weapon, is now giving a more balanced statement. He said that Yunus is supported not only by America but also by a large network of western countries. Besides, she was also seen saying that she has no personal grudge against America. His stance indicates that he is preparing to improve relations with Washington.

Hasina had given very strong statements against Pakistan after the coup, but now she is making very limited comments and saying that there should be no problem in diplomatic relations between Dhaka-Islamabad. His soft tone is being considered a big signal from the point of view of South Asian geo-politics.

Signs of retreat from dispute over St. Martin island

For a long time, Hasina had been claiming that America wants to increase its dominance on the island of St. Martin. Many times he had said that his government was weakened because of opposing this pressure, but now in his interview he has maintained complete silence on this issue. General elections are to be held in Bangladesh in February 2026 and Hasina is gradually rearranging her political equations. Awami League Slams Muhammad Yunus: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party ‘Awami League’ has accused Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus that he spoke lies and wrong things in his speech. In his speech, Younus said that the next general election in the country will be held in April 2026. After heavy pressure from the army and political parties, Younus announced that the next general election will be held in the first half of April 2026.

Mohammad Yunus assured that his government is taking necessary steps to hold a right and fair election. Yunus also said that there have been bad elections at the root of the big crises in Bangladesh so far. “At the same time, Awami League said that Yunus is blaming the earlier government to hide his failures and creates a false atmosphere of crisis in the country.

Awami League made these allegations against Mohammad Yunus

According to a report by News18, Awami League said that Bangladesh’s economy has fallen victim to the fall of Younis’s interim government. Industries are closing, investment has stopped and unemployment is increasing. The party also alleged that the interim government is biasing corruption and tax.

Awami League claims that Yunus has been personally waived tax of 666 crore Taka, while Grameen Bank has also been given tax exemption. The party said, “In the name of development, this government is going to hand over the important properties and structures of the country to foreign interests.”

Awami League has given this appeal to people

Awami League said, “If we have to save the future of our country, now we have to fight unitedly. To defeat these anti -national forces, all the patriots will have to fight together. If we remain united then Insha Allah, we will beat this evil.”

The party alleged that Yunus’s government did not have democratic support and is working in the interest of foreign forces rather than public. It was also claimed that many members of the interim government have foreign passports and can leave the country in future.
