Former Bangladesh minister and Awami League leader Mohammad Ali Arafat has criticized the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus on Thursday (October 23, 2025). He accused the Yunus government of violating human rights and said that the rule of law has collapsed in the country.

Arafat said in a post on social media platform

He said the perpetrators of these attacks have been given freedom or provided compensation, meaning no legal cases can be filed against the killers or those destroying state property and the victims will never be able to demand justice.

People violating human rights are roaming freely – Arafat

Awami League leader Arafat alleged that those who carried out the killings in broad daylight using weapons and sticks had gone unpunished. He said, ‘Under the unconstitutional and illegitimate rule of Yunus who violates human rights, there is no rule of law in Bangladesh. Only extremists rule.

He claimed that cases have been registered against police and military personnel, who were performing their duties to protect life and property from arson and killings, and they will be prosecuted. Many of them have been arrested on fabricated charges of enforced disappearances and murders.

from bangladesh ICT Gave orders regarding 15 military officers

Bangladesh’s International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) on Wednesday (October 22, 2025) ordered the jailing of 15 military officers in three separate cases of alleged forced disappearances, killings and other crimes against humanity during the Awami League government, local media reported. Earlier, on 11 October, Bangladesh Army Headquarters had announced that 15 officers had been taken into military custody after being formally charged in three cases in ICT.

Sheikh Hasina criticized the arrest of military officers

Last week, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina strongly criticized the arrest of army officers, saying there was no rule of law in Bangladesh under the Yunus-led interim government. Addressing a virtual meeting with party leaders in Nagaon, he asked, ‘I am surprised as to how the Army can be expected to hand over these officers to the law. Where is the law? There is no rule of law in this country. This government is illegitimate and all its actions are illegal. Why should these officers be handed over to such a government?

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is going to go to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh on a three -day visit. Later this week, Pakistani External Affairs Minister Dar will meet several leaders of Bangladesh, which will also include many anti-India leaders. In such a situation, India is keeping a close watch on this meeting to be held in Dhaka.

Although this visit of Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was originally proposed in April this year, but after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan suffered a lot in the operation sindoor run by India, so this meeting in April was postponed.

What did Bangladesh say about Pakistani minister’s visit,

According to Bangladeshi newspaper Prothom Aloe, Foreign Affairs advisor in Bangladesh’s Interim Government Tauheed Hussain said, “Like other countries of the world, we are also trying to establish our general relations with Pakistan, including trade, investment and facilitating the movement of people.” Hussain said, “An unnecessary atmosphere of enmity was created in the past, but now we have moved beyond that. But there are still three issues in improving the relationship that will be discussed.”

Who will meet Ishaq Dar in Dhaka,

Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will meet several prominent leaders associated with Bangladesh politics during his Dhaka tour. These leaders include Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Tauheed Hussain, advisor to Foreign Affairs and President of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and former PM Khalida Zia.

Apart from this, Ishaq Dar will also meet the leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, who has taken an opposing stance against India, which can be a concern for India. This radical Islamic organization was banned by the previous governments of Bangladesh due to allegations of suppression of minorities as well as being associated with terrorist activities.

Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina criticized the current interim government on the completion of one year of democratically elected Awami League government in Bangladesh on Tuesday (August 5, 2025). He appreciated the countrymen for standing against injustice and repression.

In an open letter to the people of the country, Sheikh Hasina wrote, “A year ago, our country saw violent disruption in democracy achieved by our difficult struggles, when a non-elected regime took power in unconstitutional ways. It was a black moment in our history. It was an insult to the public’s will and the state was betrayed.”

Sheikh Hasina praised the courage of the people of Bangladesh

Criticizing the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus, Hasina wrote, “Even though he has taken power, he will never be able to take away our spirit, our resolve or our fate. I can assure you.” He praised the extraordinary courage of the people of Bangladesh, who has refused to remain silent in front of injustice and repression.

In the letter, he wrote, “You raised their voice for democracy, freedom and the future that we all deserve. I am constantly inspired by your courage and your love for the country. Although this has been tested by us last year, but it has also highlighted the unbreakable bond between our people and the values of democracy. We have faced difficulties, but we have found unity and purpose in those difficulties.”

What is broken, we will all make it together- Hasina

Hasina wrote, “The power belongs to the people, no governance can suppress the willpower of a nation forever and their struggle continues for just purposes.” The former Prime Minister urged people to stand for justice, economic opportunity, education, peace and a nation where no one is in fear. He wrote, “We will all re -create what we have broken together. We will all together recover the institutions that were taken away from us. We will all write a new chapter, which will be defined not by harassment, but from hope, progress and freedom.”

Our best days are yet to come, beautiful lady

The former Prime Minister wrote, “Bangladesh has faced adverse circumstances earlier. We will stand up again and even strong and even stronger and even more united and more determined to build a democracy that really serves my people. I believe in you. I believe in Bangladesh and I believe that our best days are yet to come.” Hasina appealed in the letter to remember as a call for the bright tomorrow.

Bangladesh Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus: Bangladesh’s radical party Jamaat -e -Islami and NCP have accused Bangladesh Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus of biased after meeting with BNP. In fact, the Jamaat -e -Islami and newly formed party NCP supported Mohammad Yunus’s decision to hold general elections in Bangladesh next year, but on Friday (June 13), there was an initial consensus between Younus and BNP to hold elections in February. After this, on Saturday (June 14), Jamaat -e -Islami and NCP accused Mohammad Yunus of biased.

In this regard, Bangladesh’s radical party Jamaat -e -Islami has also released a statement. Jamaat -e -Islami said in his statement that Bangladesh Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus has shown special attachment to a party. This is the reason that today his fairness is being questioned.

Younus was in London and Bnp The acting chairman of the meeting

Mohammad Yunus and BNP’s exiled acting chairman Tariq Rahman met in London on Friday (June 13, 2025). During this meeting, Younus told Rahman that if all the preparations are completed, then elections can be held in Bangladesh a week before the start of Ramadan of 2026 next year.

The BNP -led coalition includes about 50 parties, who demanded the government to hold general elections in December this year. There itself. On the other hand, Jamaat -e -Islami and NCP supported the decision to hold general elections in April.

Jamaat -e -Islami accuses Mohammad Unus

After the meeting of Mohammad Yunus and BNP, Jamaat -e -Islami held a press conference. While issuing a statement in the press conference, Jamaat -e -Islami said that sitting abroad and issuing a statement about domestic matters is a violation of the country’s political culture. He should have discussed this regard with other political parties of the country after coming back before he came back. At the same time, NCP also termed Younis’s move disappointing.
