According to eyewitnesses, Dipu Chandra Das was a hard-working young man, but his hard work was irritating some people. Colleagues who could not get jobs took revenge by spreading false allegations of blasphemy against him. The eyewitness said, “This rumor was spread deliberately to instigate the crowd. Later the administration also clarified that no evidence of blasphemy was found against Dipu Chandra Das, but by then the situation had gone out of hand.”

The mob attacked Dipu Chandra Das as soon as he came out. He was beaten with sticks and punches, and was repeatedly attacked on his face and body. He became drenched in blood, but the violence of the mob did not stop here.

According to eyewitnesses, Dipu Chandra Das was dragged for about a kilometer, then tied to a tree and burnt alive. All this happened openly, but no one could come forward due to fear.
