Bank Holidays: A new week is starting from today and banks will remain closed for four consecutive days this week. Between November 3-9, banks will remain closed on different days in different states. According to the holiday list of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for four days in some parts of the country this week due to festivals.

Generally banks remain closed on the occasions of local and regional festivals, which may vary from state to state. Apart from these holidays, banks remain closed on Sundays and second and fourth Saturdays of every month. In such a situation, if you also want to complete any important work related to the bank this week, then find out about the holidays in advance.

When will there be holidays?

• November 5 (Wednesday) — Banks will remain closed in Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima and Rahas Purnima.
• 6 November (Thursday) — Banks will remain closed in Patna due to Bihar Assembly general elections 2025. There will be a bank holiday in Shillong also due to Nongkrem dance. It is a festival celebrated for five days, in which men and women perform traditional dance. In this, goat is also sacrificed.
• November 7 (Friday) — All banks will remain closed in Shillong on the occasion of Wangala Utsav. On this day, tribal people offer sacrifices to please Saljong or Sun God.
• 8 November (Saturday) – Kanakdas Jayanti will be celebrated in Bengaluru, hence banks will remain closed on this day. This day is dedicated to poet and social reformer Shri Kanakdas.

Online services will remain operational

The bank may be closed, but online services will remain operational during this period. That means you will be able to make payment for money transactions through ATM, UPI, Net Banking etc.

Bank Holidays in November 2025: The holidays of Dussehra, Dhanteras, Diwali are over, the month of October has also passed. Now it is the turn of November. Banks will remain closed for a total of 11 days this month, which also includes holidays on Sunday, second and fourth Saturday. November 1st – All government and private banks in Karnataka will remain closed on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. On this day in 1956, the state of Karnataka was formed by combining all the Kannada-speaking areas of South India. On this day, all the banks will also remain closed in Dehradun because Igas-Bagwal will be celebrated here, which is also known as Budhi Diwali.

8 November – Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on the occasion of Kanakdas Jayanti. This day is dedicated to poet and social reformer Shri Kanakdas.

11th November- There will be a bank holiday in Sikkim due to Lhabab Duchene. This is a special day in Buddhism.

Weekly off in November

Banks will remain closed everywhere in the country on 2 November (Sunday), 8 November (second Saturday), 9 November (Sunday).

There will also be bank holidays on 16th November (Sunday), 22nd November (fourth Saturday).

23 November (Sunday) and 30 November (Sunday)
