<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Bank holidays October 2025:</strong> Holidays have been announced in many banks of the country on Wednesday, October 22 on account of Govardhan Puja. Besides, stock markets will also remain closed today due to Diwali Balipratipada. A holiday has been declared today on account of Govardhan Puja in cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you are thinking of going to the bank today, then you must get information about the bank holidays in your city. So that, you do not have to face any kind of problem. Also, the list of upcoming holidays is also given below. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Today is bank holiday due to Govardhan Puja (22 October)</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Banks will remain closed today in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur due to Govardhan Puja and Diwali Balipratipada. If you live in these cities, then you should avoid going to the bank today. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>List of upcoming holidays</strong> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There are going to be bank holidays in many cities in the last week of October. On October 23, banks in Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Imphal, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Shimla will remain closed due to festivals like Bhaidooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Lakshmi Puja. After this, due to 25th October being the fourth Saturday and 26th October being Sunday, there will be a weekly holiday for banks across the country.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Along with this, holiday has been announced in banks on October 27 in Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi on account of the great festival Chhath Puja. At the same time, banking services will remain closed in Patna and Ranchi on October 28 due to Chhath Puja. There will be no work in the bank on the last day of the month i.e. 31st October in Ahmedabad on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. There are many bank holidays in the coming days, hence it is advised that if you have any bank related work, you should complete it on time. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Bank holidays are announced by RBI on the occasion of national and regional festivals. Apart from this, holidays are also declared by the states on special occasions. However, states have to provide this information to RBI in advance.  </p>

October 1, there will be a holiday in Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura and West Bengal for Mahanavami. Also National on 2 October <br />There will be a holiday.</p>
