Engineer rashid news: In the Terror Funding case, MP Engineer Rashid, who is lodged in Tihar Jail, has got a big relief from the Delhi High Court. The Delhi High Court has allowed MP Engineer Rashid to participate in the Parliament session to be held from 26 March to 4 April. He will be in police custody during this entire session.

The Delhi High Court has given custody parole, accused of Terror feeding and MP from Baramulla, Rashid. In fact, Rashid Engineer had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding custody parole to attend the current Parliament session. After the hearing on this, yesterday (Tuesday, March 25), the High Court reserved its verdict.

AIP leader expresses happiness
Awami Ittehad Party spokesperson Inam Un Prophet has posted social media and welcomed the decision of the Delhi High Court. Expressing happiness, he wrote, “The major victory of democracy! Delhi High Court allowed MP Engineer Rashid to be detained in the second part of the fourth session of the 18th Lok Sabha (26 March – 4 April 2025). Despite all the obstacles, the voice of the people of North Kashmir will resonate in Parliament.”

NIA opposed the petition
On Tuesday, March 25, the NIA and Delhi Police, while presenting their stand in the High Court, said that it is not the constitutional right of any MP that they should join the session. The NIA said that Rashid Engineer has been facing serious allegations. What will happen if he says something in Parliament? If he gives a political statement, then there will be a problem.

Now Pakistan has handed over the body of this couple to India. The administration of Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) handed over the bodies of this couple on Saturday (22 March 2025) through the command post bridge over the Line of Control in Uri.

‘Family is not accepted for marriage, jumped in Jhelum’

The deceased have been identified as Yasir Hussain Shah, son of Muja Ali Shah, a resident of Basagran, Uri, and Asiya Bano, daughter of Mohabbat Khan. The two were allegedly in love with each other and they committed suicide after the families refused to marry. Officials said that on March 20, the body of the boy was seen floating in the river near the command post near the Line of Control (LoC). “The police and rescue teams tried to evacuate him, but due to the strong current, he went to the other side of the border,” an official said.

Couple’s body reached across the border

The body of the boy was finally recovered from Chinari (PoK) on Thursday (20 March 2025), while the girl’s body was already gone to the other side of the LoC and was recovered in the umbrella on 19 March. Officials said that the matter has been raised before the administration on the other side of the LoC.

“Today there was a meeting in Command Post, Uri, in which SDPO Uri, SHO Uri, Naib, Tehsildar and team of doctors, Indian Army and the parents of the deceased and their counterparts on the other side were present,” an official said.

Pak Army handed over dead bodies to India

These people were missing for more than two weeks after jumping into the Jhelum River on 5 March 2025 in Dulanja village near the Line of Control. The bodies have been handed over to the families concerned for the funeral, but the coming together of the officials of India and Pakistan has once again helped to console the heartbreaking families.
