Even if you have made up your mind to take a bath, the next problem is whether you should take a bath with hot water or cold water. Many people believe that bathing with hot water in winter is better because it gives relaxation to the body, removes fatigue and provides relief from cold. At the same time, some people say that hot water harms both skin and hair because it destroys the natural oil layer of the body. In such a situation, let us tell you today whether it is better to take bath with hot water in winter or it is better to take bath with cold water.

What do experts say?

Due to which the risk of skin diseases like eczema increases. Regarding this, many doctors also say that while bathing in winter, the water should be only lukewarm. One should not take bath with very hot water. Too hot water causes the skin to dry which is called xerosis. Some experts also say that the natural oil present on the upper layer of the body protects the skin from bacteria and dust. When we use very hot water, this oil layer is completely removed and itching, redness and dryness of the skin increases.

What are the disadvantages of bathing with cold water?

Experts say that if one suddenly takes bath with cold water in extreme cold, it can be dangerous for the body. In fact, as soon as very cold water falls on the body, the blood vessels shrink. Due to which blood pressure can suddenly increase and heart beat can increase. This also increases the risk of heart attack or brain stroke. Especially in those people who already have heart or blood pressure problems.

What opinion do doctors give?

Doctors say that bathing with very cold water can cause problems like chilblains. In which swelling, burning sensation and blueness may occur in hands and feet. The doctor says that bathing with lukewarm water is the safest and most comfortable in winter. After this, it is also important to apply moisturizer, so that the moisture of the skin remains intact. In villages, people often take bath with hand pump or borewell water, which feels cold or slightly warm depending on the weather. In such a situation, experts say that sometimes the amount of mineral elements in this water is high, due to which it becomes hard water. With such water, the natural oil layer of the skin gets destroyed and the texture of the hair also gets spoiled. For this reason, doctors advise to always use lukewarm water for bathing whether it is winter or summer.

As soon as the winter season arrives, people like to take bath with hot water. In such a situation, the use of geyser or immersion rod in homes also increases. Most of the people use Emerson rod because it is cheap. However, after using it for a long time, a white crust like layer of calcium and magnesium present in water accumulates on the rod. This layer reduces the working capacity of the rod.

Due to which water takes more time to heat and electricity consumption also increases. If such a layer has accumulated on your rod too, then there is no need to panic. You can clean it very easily with some normal things present in the house. So today let us tell you that if a white sheet gets stuck on the immersion rod, then with what things kept in the kitchen you can clean it.

clean with vinegar

Vinegar is considered very effective in removing the white layer on the immersion rod. For this, take so much water in a bucket or deep vessel that the rod is completely submerged. Now add half to one cup of vinegar in it and keep the rod immersed in this water for 30 minutes to 1 hour. If the white layer on the rod is thick then leave it overnight. After this, take out the rod and rub it gently with a soft scrubber and wash it with clean water. Now within a few minutes your rod will start looking like new.

Homemade recipe of lemon and salt

The mixture of acid and salt present in lemon helps in dissolving the white layer of the immersion rod. For this, first of all extract the juice of two to three lemons, add one spoon of salt in it and make a thick paste. Now apply this paste on the layer accumulated on the rod and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then rub it with an old toothbrush and wash it with clean water and dry it. This will make your immersion rod brand new and shiny.

Baking soda is also an effective solution

If the white layer on the immersion rod has accumulated too much then baking soda is considered to be the best solution. For this, make a paste by mixing two to three spoons of baking soda with some water. Now apply this paste on the rod and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. Then rub gently with a sponge scrub and wash with clean water. This will make your rod completely clean.

Keep these things in mind to increase the life of the rod

If you also want to run the immersion rod for a long time, then it is necessary to clean the rod once every 15 to 20 days. At this time the rod not only heats water faster but electricity consumption also reduces and the lifespan of the rod doubles.
