September 28 is the day when BCCI elections are to be held, in which a new appointment to the post of president is also to be done.

Harbhajan Singh was earlier appointed as an advisor to the Punjab Cricket Association. This will be the first time that he will be seen as a representative of the State Cricket Association. Notices have been sent to all state cricket associations that the last date to declare their respective representatives will be September 12.

At the same time, the Election Officer has extended the last date to apply from September 20 to September 21. If a candidate wants, he can withdraw his name by 23 September and the elections will be held on 28 September. The final of the Asia Cup 2025 is also to be played on the same day.
