This news is very important for students across the country who are dreaming of studying law. Bar Council of India (BCI) has taken major action against ignoring rules and poor education system in many law colleges. In the sudden inspection process, many colleges did not meet the set standards. After this, BCI decided to ban new admissions in 9 law colleges for the 2026-27 academic session. This decision may impact thousands of students, especially those who are preparing to take admission in law college this year.

Why did BCI take a big decision?

A special team of Bar Council of India had conducted surprise inspection of many law colleges. During the investigation, many serious flaws came to light in the colleges like shortage of teachers, poor infrastructure, inadequate library system and poor standard of education. BCI says that it is very important to follow the rules to maintain the quality of legal education. Strict action will be taken against those institutions which do not meet the set standards.

Admission banned in these 9 law colleges

CB Singh Law College

Rajiv Gandhi Law College

Kautilya Law College

Abdul Razzaq Law College

Veer Kunwar College of Law

SGN Khalsa Law PG College

What will be the impact on students?

After this decision, it has been a big shock for those students who were preparing to take admission in these colleges. Now there will be no new admissions in these institutions in the session 2026-27. In such a situation, students may have to look for other recognized law colleges. However, separate guidelines can be issued for students already studying. If you are planning to study law from any other university, then definitely check the BCI affiliation of the college before taking admission. Also get information about faculty, infrastructure and placement records so that you do not have to face any problem in future.

Amid controversy related to Ram Swaroop Memorial University (SRMU), there has been news of great relief for the university administration and students. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued a letter related to recognition to the university, which has been confirmed to increase the approval by 2026.

According to a letter issued by BCI, Shri Ram Swaroop Memorial University, Barabanki’s Institute of Legal Studies has been approved for three -year LLB course and five -year BBA LLB (Honors) Integrated Degree course. Apart from this, five -year -old BA LLB (Honors) Integrated Course has also been allowed.

What is said in the letter?

The letter clearly states that 60-60 students have been allowed to enter each section, while 60-60 students can be admitted in two sections of BA LLB (Honors). This approval will be valid for the upcoming academic session 2025-26.

Earlier, the students raised serious questions about their future on the university administration. The students alleged that due to non -renewal of timely recognition, their degrees are clouded by crisis.

Students had bitten the uproar

Recently, the students had created a ruckus in the university campus about this, after which the police had to lathi -charged. This action had given the dispute even more. Now after this letter of BCI, the worry of students has gone away to a great extent.

The letter also clarified that the university will have to follow the rules of legal education and all the guidelines of BCI. Along with this, within six months, the university will also have to submit a notarized Compliance affidavit.

College administration shared relief news

Sharing this news of relief, the university administration said that the future of the students is safe and no one needs to worry. At the same time, the students say that if this order was issued earlier, then they would not have to face a situation like protest and lathicharge. In this way, this letter, which came amidst controversies, has brought relief for both the university and the students.
