Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS)

This scheme, run by the Ministry of Education, is for those students who have secured a position in the top 80 percent of the students in the 12th board examination. Under this scheme, financial assistance ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 is given to eligible students every year. For this, the annual income of the family should be less than Rs 8 lakh.

SC/ST/OBC Post Matric Scholarship

This scheme run by state governments is for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. How to apply?

First of all, students have to register on the respective portal. One Time Registration (OTR) number is necessary for central government schemes.
