Bharat Electronics: Bharat Electronics (BEL) is continuously emerging as one of the best stocks in the defense sector. It has performed amazingly during the business year 2015 to 2025. During this period, the company has achieved compound growth of 13 percent, 20 percent and 16 percent in revenue, Ebitda and profit respectively. In these ten years, the order inflow of the company also increased at the rate of 14 percent annually. By the end of this year the company has a strong order of Rs 74,500 crore.

Brokerage gave ‘Buy’ rating to the stock

Antique Stock Broking said that between the years 2025-2028, its revenue, Ebitda and profit increased at a compounded growth rate. Along with this, the brokerage gave a target price of Rs 502 and suggested ‘BUY’ for this most valuable defense stock of the stock market. BEL shares have gained 30 percent in the last one year and 284 percent in the last three years. The brokerage estimated that it is expected to get orders worth Rs 27,000 crore in FY 2026.

Company made partnership to increase revenue

The company is also partnering with other companies to increase its revenue, such as it is working with L&T on India’s 5th-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). Apart from this, BEL has also tied up with Saffron to manufacture HAMMER (Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range) precision-guided weapons in India.

Defense Stock: ‘Muhurat trading’ will start in the stock market shortly. During this period, some brokerage firms have selected some defense stocks in view of strong order book and long term growth prospects, which can bring profits to investors in Samvat 2082. These include Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Data Patterns India.

BEL

MOFSL (Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited) has kept the target price of BEL shares at Rs 490. Motilal Oswal says that the Indian Army has received a tender worth Rs 30,000 crore for the ‘Anant Shastra’ project, in which BEL is the main integrator. With this, its order book has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore. This underlines its leadership in strategic defense programmes. BEL’s position has been strengthened under the TPCR 2025 roadmap. It is ready to take advantage of continued opportunities in the Army, Navy and Air Force. Along with this, BEL also has the potential for long-term growth, which makes it an attractive investment in the journey of modernization of the country’s defense sector.

Data Patterns

ICICIdirect has said that Data Patterns is one of the fastest growing defense and aerospace electronics service providers. Its order backlog till June 2025 was Rs 1,080 crore. The brokerage said, “The management estimates new orders worth Rs 2,000-3,000 crore in the next 2 years (including Rs 1,000-1,500 crore in FY 2026). With the growing need for hi-tech and modern defense platforms, the brokerage believes that there is immense potential for the company to continue getting new orders, be it for exports or for the country’s own needs. It said data patterns ‘Buy’ rating has been given with a target price of Rs 3,560 per share.

HAL

Mirae Asset Sharekhan said that Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) is a major supplier of aircraft, helicopters, engines, avionics and accessories. It is also a company involved in maintenance, repair and overhaul services of Indian defense systems. Following delays in completion of the Tejas Mk1A contract due to delivery issues of GE-404 engines, Mirae Asset Sharekhan believes that HAL’s revenue is expected to increase this year due to a pick-up in order completion in the manufacturing sector. Sharekhan has given it a target price of Rs 6000. The brokerage believes that the supply of its GE engines will increase in the coming time, which will also speed up the delivery of Tejas Mk1A aircraft to the Indian Air Force.

Bel new orders: Government Defense and Aerospace Company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) said on Friday, June 20 that the company has received orders worth Rs 585 crore so far since June 5. These include several critical parts and related services including fire control and siting systems for missiles, including communication equipment, jammer.

Earlier, BEL had signed a MOU with Tata Electronics for semiconductor and Advanced Electronics Initiative on 6 June. The purpose of this partnership of both companies is to develop a complete solution in Semacist Fabrication (FAB), OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) and chip design, which is in line with the country’s goal of making India self -sufficient in Hitech Manufacturing.

On June 4, BEL also informed about the order of Rs 537 crore. It included Communication Equipments, Shipborn Communication System, Jammer, Software, Simulator Upgrade, Test Rig, Spare and Related Services. The defense electronics portfolio of BEL from these new audiences will be stronger and its scope will also increase in the operational defense domain.

The company has also received a big order of Rs 2,323 crore from Majgaon Dock Shipbuilders and Garden Reach Shipbuilders this month. It has to supply the base and depot-level puffs for missile systems on Indian Navy ships. Overall, Bharat Electronics Limited has received new orders worth about Rs 3,500 crore by June 20, 2025.

With this, BEL shares closed on Friday at Rs 408.05 with a jump of 2.38 percent on Friday. In the last one month, its shares have gained 12.19 percent and 40.27 percent in 6 months. The company has given a return of up to 38.84 percent to investors so far this year with a market capitalization of Rs 2.98 lakh crore.
