After taking charge as the 12th National President of BJP, Nitin Naveen is busy preparing for the upcoming assembly elections. Nitin Naveen will visit West Bengal on 27 January 2026. Here he will hold a meeting with the leaders of the core group of the party. The purpose of these meetings will be to understand the situation of the organization before the elections and assess the strength of the party.

Had met the leaders of Bengal

Nitin Naveen took oath as the national president of BJP on Tuesday (20 January 2026). Even before being elected president, he was in touch with West Bengal BJP. After filing nomination, on Monday night he met state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya, Balurghat MP Sukant Majumdar and senior party leaders Amitabh Chakraborty, Sunil Bansal, Mangal Pandey and Amit Malviya.

The new national president of the party is planning to meet leaders from all levels of the state organization. In these meetings, the party’s stand regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign in West Bengal is also likely to be discussed. Regarding this, senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Joy Prakash Majumdar said that such tours will not have any significant impact.

TMC’s attack on Nitin Naveen

He said, ‘Earlier also central leaders of BJP came here and tried to win the elections, but they did not succeed. After becoming the national president, JP Nadda had also said that he would come to West Bengal twice to review the organization, but when he realized that there was no possibility of BJP in Bengal, he stopped coming.

Nitin Naveen also called upon the party leaders and workers to make every possible effort to ensure BJP’s success in the assembly elections to be held in five states including West Bengal, protect Sanatan traditions and faith and save the country from demographic changes.
