Chittagong violence: The ethnic conflict between Chakma and Bengali original inhabitants in Chittagong hilly areas of Bangladesh has created an atmosphere of tension and fear in the entire region. According to media reports, Buddhist temples were damaged in the attacks, while loudspeakers in mosques were allegedly used to incite the Bengali crowd.

At least four minority men died and dozens of people were injured in this violence. India has also targeted the Bangladesh government over this violence.

India raised this demand

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that the interim government of Bangladesh has failed to maintain law and order and often tries to put its responsibility on others. He said, “They would be better to conduct a serious investigation into the action of local fundamentalists in their country, which are involved in violence, arson and occupying land against minority communities in Chittagong hilly areas.”

Afghan Foreign Minister has received special permission

A spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs said on a visit to Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttki to India that the United Nations Security Council Committee has given him special permission for a visit to New Delhi from 9 October to 16 October.

This thing said on the conversation with India-Canada

Randhir Jaiswal said that recently there was a meeting between the National Security Advisor of India and the National Security Advisor of Canada on 18 September. Both sides had a creative talks on increasing cooperation on bilateral issues and strengthening security cooperation.

‘Pakistan should be held accountable’

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, “We have seen reports of protests in many areas of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the barbarity on innocent citizens by the Pakistani Army. Pakistan should be held accountable to its frightening human rights violations.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing a public meeting in Kolkata, raised her voice against linguistic intolerance in sharp words on Monday (July 21, 2025). He questioned whether it is a crime to speak in Bengali language? Why is it stopped? Why is it interrupted? This statement of CM Mamta Banerjee has come at a time when the discussion about languages across the country is intensifying.

CM Mamta Banerjee said in her speech that if there is an attempt to suppress the Bengali language in Bengal like Bihar, then the Trinamool Congress will strongly oppose it. He warned and said, “We will siege, we will not let the votes be cut.” He also mentioned the cultural heritage of Bengal.

Mamta Banerjee said this big thing

Mamta Banerjee, referring to the cultural heritage of Bengal, said, “The land of Bengal gave birth to Rabindranath Tagore. It is from here that national anthem like ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ came out.” She also said that she respects Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and all Indian languages, but it is not acceptable whether to be hated by Bengali language or prevented it from speaking.

Reminding the role of Bengal in the freedom struggle, the Chief Minister of West Bengal said, “Bengali participated in the freedom struggle. Our language is our identity and no attempt to suppress it will be tolerated.”

Emotions over Marathi language in Maharashtra boil

Let us know that controversy over language in the country is constantly deepening. In Maharashtra, emotions about Marathi language are on boil. People say that the attempt to impose Hindi or other languages is against the soul of the Constitution.
