The Karnataka government changed Ramnagar district to Bengaluru in May 2025. It was the Deputy CM DK Shivkumar who proposed to change the name of this district. DK Shivkumar warns

DK Shivkumar warned that notices will be issued to the leaders making public statements on the issue of leadership change. He issued a show cause notice to Ramnagar MLA HA Iqbal Hussain on Tuesday, demanding to make DK Shivkumar the CM.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Wednesday that he will continue in office during the entire tenure of five years.
