Actually, MP Rajiv Rai had left to catch his scheduled flight to Delhi to attend the winter session of Parliament, but before that he was stuck on the streets of Bengaluru for several hours.

Rajeev Rai, MP from Ghosi, Uttar Pradesh, was afraid of missing his flight, so he also tried to contact Bengaluru Police to get rid of this problem, but he claims that there was no response to his call from Bengaluru Police. He alleged that there was not a single traffic policeman present on the Bengaluru road to handle the heavy traffic jam.

SP MP expressed displeasure on social media

MP Rajeev Rai became very angry after being stuck in Bengaluru traffic for several hours. He expressed his anger through a post shared on social media platform X. During this, he targeted the Karnataka government and the state Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He said that this city has become known for its terrible traffic. Along with this, he also termed the Bengaluru traffic police as useless and irresponsible.

MP Rajiv Rai said in his ex-post, “Chief Minister of Karnataka, I am sorry, but you have the worst traffic system and the traffic police is the most irresponsible and useless. They do not even pick up the phone. I have taken a screenshot of my attempts to talk to them, no one picked up my call.” He said that he was stuck at the same place on Rajkumar Samadhi Road for an hour and his flight was about to miss. He said, “Tomorrow Monday (December 1, 2025) I have to attend the Parliament session. Not a single policeman is visible around here. There is no doubt that the traffic in Bengaluru is now counted among the worst in the world.”

The statement given by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar while defending the Tunnel Road Project of Bengaluru has created controversy. On which now Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejashwi Surya has given a sharp reaction. Regarding the Tunnel Road Project, Deputy CM DK had said that people do not marry their daughters to men who do not have a car.

BJP MP Tejashwi Surya took a dig at the Deputy CM’s statement and said that the purpose of the Tunnel Road project is not to solve traffic but to solve a social problem. That is, the problem of those people who do not want to marry without a car. Tejashwi had met DK Shivkumar regarding the Tunnel Road Project and demanded to cancel this project and increase public transport, but DK Shivkumar rejected his demands.

DK Shivakumar had said that Tejashwi Surya does not understand the social reasons for people buying cars. He told the media, ‘Can I stop you from bringing your car? Bengaluru traffic: The problem of traffic jam in Bengaluru is increasing. Recently, the Karnataka government had made a request to Wipro Chairman Azim Premji to reduce this, which he turned down. In fact, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah wrote a letter to Premji on 19 September to reduce the problem of traffic jam in the city.

It was requested that if Wipro opens its Sarjapur campus to mango vehicles, it can reduce the huge traffic of Iblore on Outer Ring Road to 30 %. According to media reports, Azim Premji has turned down his request.

‘Not a solution is not enough’

Azim Premji admitted that of course the problem of traffic jam in Bengaluru is very serious, but many things are responsible behind it. There is not a single solution for this. He expressed his desire for Wipro to work closely with the state government to find a permanent solution. In a letter to the Karnataka government on Wednesday, he said that many factors are responsible for the traffic jam in the city. In such a situation, there cannot be a single solution.

Azim Premji gave this suggestion to CM

In the letter, the founder of Wipro also mentioned that Sarjapur is a personal property of Campus Wipro and a part of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This route is not made for the movement of public vehicles. He said that if it is opened for common vehicles, then the problem of traffic jam will not be solved, but problems related to law and management may come out.

He said that the best way to move forward in this direction is that under the supervision of a world-class experience in urban transport management, a scientific study is to be done in detail. Wipro is ready to raise a large part of the incoming expenses in it.
