Treatment continued for several months, but health did not improve.

After this terrible truth came to light, Vidya underwent treatment for a month at Oxford Hospital, then at Victoria Hospital. The doctor treating Vidya had said that the poison has spread throughout the body, the kidneys are also responding. After this dialysis started, but there was no improvement in Vidya’s health. Vidya kept fighting with death for her life for 9 months, kept on suffering, kept on bearing pain and then in the month of November, Vidya lost the battle of her life.

Police registered against husband and father-in-law FIR

Bengaluru’s Attibele police had registered an FIR against victim Vidya’s husband Baravaraj and father-in-law Mariswamachari on Sunday (November 23, 2025) after her statement.
