Narendra Modi Israel Visit: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his “dear friend”. In a tweet on his official X account, he mentioned Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming visit to Israel. Netanyahu discussed this historic visit at the beginning of the cabinet meeting, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Netanyahu said that the relations between India and Israel are not just between two countries, but a strong and trustworthy partnership between two global leaders. He also shared a video along with his tweet, in which he is seen highlighting the importance of this journey. This visit will be Modi’s second major visit to Israel after February 2025. This is expected to further deepen the already strong relations between the two countries. Netanyahu stressed that the two countries are strong partners of each other in innovation, security and shared strategic thinking.

What is the purpose of the trip?

This visit of Prime Minister Modi is considered important in many ways. During his visit, PM Modi will address the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. He will also visit the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem and participate in an innovation event organized in Jerusalem.

There will also be high-level talks between the two leaders, in which important issues like Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, infrastructure and defense cooperation will be discussed. This visit is taking place after PM Modi’s first visit to Israel in 2017. That historic tour gave a new direction to the relations between the two countries. Netanyahu described India as an emerging global power and also mentioned his personal friendship with Prime Minister Modi.

India-Israel’s strengthening relations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in clear words that India and Israel together are forming a strong group of countries who want stability and progress in the world. He says that the friendship between the two countries is no longer just formal, but is progressing rapidly in every field from technology to security.

He said that both the countries are working together in new areas like Artificial Intelligence and are also strengthening regional cooperation. Netanyahu expressed his eagerness to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jerusalem and described this relationship as special.

This statement has come at a time when India and Israel are more active than ever in the fight against terrorism, exchange of new technology and defense cooperation. Netanyahu also said that this partnership could become part of a larger coalition against radical forces, which could include many countries in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Israel Iran Nuclear Threat: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday (June 22, 2025) that his country has reached very close to his goal of ending dual challenges like Iran’s ballistic missiles and nuclear programs. Netanyahu also clarified that he would not allow Israel to drag in a long and tedious war, but the campaign against Iran would not be ended prematurely.

He told Israeli journalists, “We will only take as much action as it is necessary to achieve this goal, not too much, but we will not end it in a hurry. When the objectives are fulfilled, the campaign will end and the struggle will stop.”

Benjamin Netanyahu made a big claim

Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he has no doubt that the current government of Iran intends to eradicate the existence of Israel. For this reason, Israel launched this military campaign to abolish those two dangers (nuclear and ballistic missiles).

Netanyahu said, “We are moving towards these goals and now we are very close to fulfilling them.” He further stated that Iran’s Fordow nuclear plant was badly damaged by the ‘Bunker Buster’ bombs dropped by the US last night. However, how much damage has been done, it is yet to be assessed. Meanwhile, Iran has warned to defend itself with full force against any attack.

What Netanyahu said about the promoted uranium?

The Israeli Prime Minister has said that his government is very closely monitored on the activities of 60 percent of Iran’s promoted uranium. This uranium is considered an important part of the nuclear program. Netanyahu said, “We are looking at it very carefully. It is not enough to make nuclear weapons alone, but it is an important part. We also have some special information related to it, which I cannot share with everyone right now.”

Prior to the first attack on Iran’s uranium enrichment centers by Israel on 13 June, Iran was preparing purity of up to 60% purity. This level is very close to 90% purity that is considered necessary to make atomic bombs.

This quantity is much higher than the 3.67% limit set in the 2015 nuclear deal. Iran had followed the agreement until US President Donald Trump decided to get out of the agreement in 2018.
