Rolls Royce-Bharat Forge Partnership: Aerospace sector giant Rolls Royce has entered into an agreement with Bharat Forge Limited for the manufacturing and supply of fan blades for its Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines. Under this, fan blades used in high performance turbofan engines for business jets like Bombardier Global 5500/6500 jet, Gulfstream G700/G800 and Dassault Falcon 10X will be manufactured in India.

This agreement reflects Rolls-Royce’s commitment to double its supply chain sourcing in India by 2030. It also shows the company’s confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities.

Deal signed in Berlin

The contract was signed at Rolls-Royce’s Dahlewitz facility near Berlin. This will strengthen mutual cooperation not only between the two companies but also between the two countries and will also strengthen Bharat Forge’s position as a better supplier of aerospace components.

Global supply chain will be strengthened

Commenting on the partnership, Shashi Mukundan, Executive Vice President (Transformation), Rolls-Royce India, said, “Rolls-Royce is pleased to further strengthen its partnership with Bharat Forge to further the ‘Make in India’ vision. This new contract reflects our commitment to building world-class manufacturing capabilities in India and also reflects our shared vision of supplying highly modern aerospace components to the global supply chain ecosystem.”

During this period, parts of Pearl 700 were sourced. The first zero-defect fan blades were supplied in 2024. Pearl 10X engine was included in the newly signed contract.

Bharat forge share: The shares of Defense Sector company Bharat Forge in India saw a boom on Wednesday, June 18. With a boom of 1.9 percent, the price of Bharat Forge’s stock reached the Intrade High of Rs 1,325.05 at BSE. Till 10 am, its shares were trading at Rs 1,310.4 per share with a gain of 0.82 percent. The company’s market capitalization is Rs 62,648.73 crore. The highest price of the company’s 52-week was 1,826.2 per share and the minimum price of 52-week was 919.1 per share.

In fact, Bharat Forge, along with the Ministry of Defense, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with French company Turgis Galard. The company works in the forging sector and its market value is 54,126 crore. In this, Nippon India Growth Fund has bought a 1.92 per cent stake (5.44 million shares) for 636.49 crore. However, in the third quarter of FY25, the company’s profit declined 16.4 per cent to 212.78 crore.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

India has recently joined the NIFTY 50 dividend of Electronics 1.5 per share (Ex-Dividend Date- March 11). The company’s dividend yield has been 0.75 percent. BEL is also in the defense and aerospace sector and its market cap is 2.32 lakh crores. In this, Nippon India CPSE ETF has made the biggest investment. Apart from this, domestic institutional investors have 20.9 per cent and foreign investors have 17.3 per cent stake. BEL stock has risen 7.44 percent in the last one month.
