India is far behind its neighboring country Bhutan in terms of per capita income (GDP). According to the report of World of Statistics, compared to Bhutan, the per capita income (GDP) in India is only 2,878 dollars i.e. 2 lakh 54 thousand. Whereas in Bhutan the per capita income (GDP) is 4,302 dollars, i.e. 3 lakh 81 thousand. According to this, the per capita income in Bhutan is about Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand more than that of India.
The biggest indicator of how strong or weak a country’s economy is is its Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In simple terms, GDP represents the total value that is derived from the production of all goods and services within a country’s borders in a given time period (usually a year or quarter). It can be called a mirror of the economic health of a country, the higher the GDP, the better the economic condition.

What is GDP?

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the total monetary or market value obtained from all goods and services produced in a country during a specified period. GDP in India is calculated both annually and quarterly. GDP figures tell us at what pace the industry, agriculture and service sectors are progressing in the country.

Which sectors are included in GDP?

Earlier, only the contribution of agriculture and industry sector was measured in GDP, but now services like education, health, banking, IT and telecom have also been included in it. This provides more accurate information about the economic activities of the country.

world’s fourth largest economy

India is the fourth largest economy in the world today, but due to its huge population the per capita income appears low; when the total GDP is divided among the billions of people, the average income figure becomes lower. In India, factors like rapidly increasing population, inequality in education and employment and rural-urban gap affect the economic balance. However, India’s economy is continuously growing. Improvements in IT, construction, agriculture and service sectors are expected to increase per capita income in the coming years.

Earthquake tremors were felt on Monday (September 08, 2025) in India’s neighboring country Bhutan, which was measured at 4.2. According to the National Center for Sismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at only 10 km depth, which leads to the possibility of afterchox. NCS reported that the earthquake came on 8 September 2025 at 11:15 am. Its center was at 26.89 north latitude of Bhutan and 91.71 pre -longitude.

Bhutan’s seismic threat
Bhutan is located in the young ranges of the Himalayas, which makes it seismically sensitive. According to the Indian Sismic Code, Bhutan Zone comes in IV and V, which is the most active seismic region of the country. There are many active fault lines in Bhutan, which poses a risk of large earthquakes.

Earthquake also occurred in China
Earlier on Sunday (September 07, 2025), there was a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in China. This earthquake was also recorded at a depth of 10 km, due to which there is a possibility of afterchock. Explain that low -depth earthquakes often cause more damage than deep earthquakes.

Increase in other natural hazards
In Bhutan, not only earthquakes, but also natural disasters like floods, strong winds, landslides, sudden floods and forest and structural fire are also increasing from the glacier lake. Seasonal changes have intensified due to climate change. The storms in 2011 and 2013 caused heavy damage in rural areas.

Responsibility of government and citizens
The Bhutan government and the local administration have advised people to be vigilant. Rescue operations are being intensified in view of possible afterchox. Experts are also suggesting that earthquake-resistant construction techniques should be adopted and all citizens should stay in safe places.

A statement by the company said that in this regard, a power purchase agreement and a concession agreement were signed in the presence of Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Dasho Shering Tobge and Adani Group Chairman. In the Wangchhu project, Rs 6000 crore will be invested for the development of the power plant and the infrastructure related to it. The work on the project is expected to start by the first half of 2026 and a target has been kept to complete it within five years.

India will also get clean energy

Adani Power CEO SB Khyalia said, Wangchhu Hydroelectric Project will meet high demand for electricity during winter in Bhutan as hydroelectric production is reduced during that time. Electricity will be exported to India from here during the summer season. Let us know that Vangchhu is the first hydroelectric project to be launched under a memorandum signed between Adani Group and DGPC for the joint development of 5,000 MW hydropower in Bhutan.

Let us know that in May, a big deal was signed between Bhutan and Adani Group. Under this, the two will jointly create 5,000 MW hydropower projects. This will strengthen the relationship between India and Bhutan. Also, the clean energy of Bhutan will also be boosted with this deal. This will increase energy security in Bhutan. At the same time, India will also benefit because DGPC has 51 percent in the Wangchhu Hydropower Project and the Adani Group has 49 percent stake. With the help of this project, the capacity of hydropower in Bhutan will increase and India will also be supplied clean energy.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Bhutan Visit: India’s Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has gone to Thimpu on a four -day visit to Bhutan amidst the new controversy of China and Bhutan in Doklam. Dwivedi is on a tour of Bhutan for the first time as Army Chief General. This tour about the strong relationship between the two countries is considered very important.

This tour will further strengthen permanent defense cooperation between the two countries. In this tour, Army Chief Bhutan King Jigme Khesar will meet Namgyal Wangchuk. Lieutenant General Battu Shering, Chief Operation Officer of Royal Bhutan Army, will also hold talks with the Indian Army Chief.

China is confronting Bhutan after beating India
After beating India in Doklam in the year 2017, China is facing Bhutan this time instead of directing India. China’s PLA Army is in a state of conflict with the Royal Army of Bhutan. In February this year, China’s PLA Army objected to the patrolling of the soldiers of Bhutan on the banks of the Amo-Chu river near Doklam.

China objected to Tibetan shepherds as Tibetan
During the flag meeting, the Commander of the Bhutan Army bluntly told the PLA Army of China that the Chinese soldiers did not cross the Amo Chouta river and come to the eastern bank, so patrolling is being done. China’s PLA Army is now objected to calling Tibetan shepherds adjacent to Doklam as Tibetan. The PLA has instructed Bhutan to address these shepherds in the name of Chinese shepherds.

The Army Chief’s visit to Bhutan is taking place at a time when China has continued to strengthen its military infrastructure in Doklam. Army spokesperson Colonel Nishant Arvind said that India, Bhutan and expansionist China is keeping a close watch on the border talks to resolve their regional disputes. This includes Doklam in the west and the Chalung and Pasmalang valleys in the north.

Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi is on a four -day visit to Bhutan. This visit of General Dwivedi is going to be special in many ways. Army chief Dwivedi has gone to the neighboring country in the backdrop of China’s efforts to strengthen the infrastructure around Doklam located strategically. His visit can make the relationship between the two countries stronger with good military relations between India and Bhutan. This can increase China’s tension.

Officials said that General Dwivedi Raja Jigme Khesar will meet Namgyal Wangchuk in Bhutan’s capital Thimpu and talk to Bhutan Army Chief Lieutenant General Battu Shering. The army chief’s visit from 30 June to 3 July is taking place amid the changing regional security scenario. With this, he has gone to neighboring country seven weeks after India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ to target terrorist bases in Pakistani regions.

Along with Doklam, Chinese activities can also be discussed hot

The Indian Army said, “The purpose of this journey is to further strengthen the permanent bilateral defense cooperation between the two countries.” It is expected that in the conversation with General Dwivedi’s Bhutanese dialogues, the situation of the Doklam plateau as well as Chinese activities in the area will be like Chinese activities.

In the year 2017, the ‘Doklam Tri-Junction’ has strengthened the strategic relations between India and Bhutan in the last few years under the backdrop of 73 days of deadlock between Indian and Chinese soldiers. The Doklam Plateau is considered an important area for the strategic interest of India. In 2017, the deadlock on ‘Doklam Tri-Junction’ began when China tried to build a road in the region, which Bhutan claims to be its area.

 Anil Ambani: The country’s veteran businessman Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Power has entered into an agreement with Bhutan company Green Digital Private Limited. Under this, it has been decided to build the largest solar plant in Bhutan. This solar project will produce 500 MW electricity.

About 2000 crore rupees are to be spent on this entire project. The project is a 50-50 percent partnership between Reliance Power and the Investment Company of the Government of Bhutan, Druk Holding and Investments (DHI). Under this, the two companies will make it and run it together. Let us know that Green is a subsidiary company of Digital Dhi. & Nbsp;

This is the biggest advantage of this project

According to this agreement, it is going to be Bhutan’s largest solar power project. With this, it will be the biggest foreign direct investment (FDI) of a private sector till date in the solar industry of Bhutan. For this project, Reliance Power has also signed a long -term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Green Digital Private Limited. Under this, the electricity produced from & nbsp; project will be sold to Green Digital. That is, through this solar project, not only will Bhutan get clear energy, but it will also be able to provide electricity to its neighboring countries including India. & Nbsp;

Company moving rapidly in clean energy segment & nbsp;

Reliance Power said that this solar project will further strengthen India-Bhutan economic cooperation. The company said that Reliance Group is insisting on furthering its segment of clean energy. Currently, Reliance Power has a 2.5 GW capacity in solar energy and battery energy storage system (BESS). To create this power project, the company has started talking with banks and other lenders at present to arrange for money on time. & Nbsp;

Partnership took place last year

This solar project is part of the partnership between Reliance Enterprises (Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure partnership) and DHI in October 2024, part of the partnership between solar and hydroelectric projects. It includes this 500 MW solar project as well as the 770 MW Chamkhau-1 hydroelectric project. & Nbsp;
