The year 2025 has been no less than a roller coaster for Bollywood. While some films performed well at the box office, many high budget and big star films gave a big shock to the makers. Despite huge hype before release, strong promotion and star studded cast, these films could not connect with the audience in the theatres. The result was that many films did not recover even half their budget. This made it clear that star power and big budget alone are no longer a guarantee of box office success.

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s directorial film ‘Fateh’ was included in the notable flop films of the year. The budget of this film, released on January 10, 2025, was around Rs 30 crore. But its collection at the box office was only Rs 17 crore. The content of the film could not impress the audience much.
