After the excellent performance in Bihar Assembly elections, now the efforts to form a new NDA government have started. The first round of talks between BJP and JDU regarding government formation has been completed. The formula for cabinet formation and participation of constituent parties has been decided. The formula of 1 ministerial post can be applied to 6 MLAs.

JDU National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha will return to Patna on Sunday (November 16) after completing talks with the central leaders of BJP. After reaching Patna, he will meet CM Nitish Kumar. Sanjay Kumar Jha will take forward the preparations for the meeting of JDU Legislative Party and NDA Legislative Party.

When will the JDU Legislative Party meet?

According to JDU sources, a meeting of JDU Legislative Party can be called only on Monday (17 November). The process of choosing the NDA leader will be completed by November 18. BJP will now hold talks with other allies on government formation.

Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha will meet Amit Shah

Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) patron and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi will reach Delhi from Gayaji today. Manjhi will meet Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders in Delhi. At the same time, Upendra Kushwaha has left for Delhi from Patna. He will also meet Amit Shah. Along with this, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan is also going from Patna to Delhi on Sunday (16 November). There will be talks with LJP(R), HAM and RLM regarding government formation in Delhi.

Who gets how many seats in the assembly elections?

In the Bihar Assembly elections, NDA has performed brilliantly and won 202 seats. BJP became the largest party in the state by winning 89 seats, while JDU became the second largest party by winning 85 seats. Apart from this, Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) won 19 seats. With this, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM achieved success on 5 seats. Upendra Kushwaha’s party RLM won 4 seats. Whereas the grand alliance was limited to only 35 seats.

NDA has registered a historic victory in Bihar Assembly elections 2025 and along with it BJP has also created history. This time in Bihar elections, BJP has managed to win 89 seats, while JDU has got 85 seats. At the same time, the Grand Alliance could not even cross the 50 mark. Meanwhile, the statement of Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) leader and MP Supriya Sule has also come to light.

NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule congratulated on NDA’s victory in Bihar elections. Talking to journalists in Mumbai, he said that the one who won is Alexander. He said that I congratulate Nitish Kumar for his spectacular victory and we will analyze our defeat.

‘The real credit for victory goes to Nitish Kumar’
Supriya Sule said that the unilateral mandate given in Bihar is surprising for everyone, including the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He said that the real credit for this big victory goes to outgoing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He further said that victory and defeat always happen in democracy. I heartily congratulate Nitish Kumar for this wonderful mandate. He admitted that NDA has performed much better than the opposition alliance in this election.

‘Nitish Kumar took the entire election campaign forward’
NCP-SCP leader Supriya Sule said that the people of Bihar have once again shown confidence in Nitish Kumar and this is clearly visible from the current results. He said that Nitish Kumar took the entire election campaign forward and hence this victory is mainly his. He further said that many surveys were saying that there will be a tough contest in Bihar elections this time. He further said that many journalists covering the elections and people working in the campaign told me that the people of Bihar have a lot of respect and love for Nitish Kumar.

The people of the state have given NDA a huge majority in the Bihar Assembly...

The people of the state have given NDA a huge majority in the Bihar Assembly elections. Out of 243 seats in the state, NDA has got more than 200 seats. BJP and JDU have once again reiterated the historic majority they got in 2010. In this election, the state’s main opposition party RJD has repeated its worst performance in its history.

Reasons for NDA’s victory

1. Nitish Kumar

After being in power for 20 years, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JDU not only countered the anti-incumbency wave but also won more than 80 seats. NDA getting more than 200 seats is an indication of Nitish Kumar becoming the Chief Minister again. This result has ruined Tejashwi Yadav’s efforts to make himself the next leader of Bihar. The contradiction of youth versus experience that dominated the opposition’s electoral battle could not be translated into votes.

2. Chirag Paswan

Chirag Paswan has made a spectacular comeback in this election. After winning only one seat in 2020, his Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) contested 29 seats and won 19 seats. Chirag’s appeal played an important role in consolidating Paswan votes, among young voters and Dalit communities.

3. Asaduddin Owaisi and AIMIM

Asaduddin Owaisi led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) performed brilliantly in Seemanchal region of Bihar. His party won the seats of Jokihat (Araria), Kochadhaman (Kishanganj), Amour (Purnia), Baisi (Purnia), Bahadurganj (Kishanganj). He had also won in Jokihat, Kochadhaman, Amour and Baisi in the last elections, but later their MLAs joined RJD.

4. Women voters

Women voters played an important role in giving such a big victory to NDA in the 2025 assembly elections. For the first time in the electoral history of Bihar, women voted more than men. Their voting percentage decisively turned towards the NDA. In Bihar, men voted 62.8 percent and women voted 71.6 percent. Welfare schemes for women helped strengthen support among poor and backward communities, including the Rs 10,000 Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana.

5. National Democratic Alliance (NDA)

NDA’s smaller allies Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Chirag Paswan’s LJP (R) performed strongly in the elections. HAM won five out of six seats, LJP (R) won 20 and RLM four seats.

reason to lose

1. Tejashwi Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)

The Grand Alliance had nominated Tejashwi Yadav for the post of Chief Minister after much political turmoil, but he was unable to convert any anti-incumbency wave into votes against Nitish Kumar. However, he conquered his stronghold at Raghopur. This is the second worst performance in RJD’s electoral history after 22 seats in 2010. This time RJD got only 25 seats. RJD had emerged as the largest party in the 2020 assembly elections. Then it started to seem that after Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi has taken over RJD very strongly.

2. Rahul Gandhi

In the Bihar Assembly elections, Congress contested 61 seats and could win only six seats. State Congress President Rajesh Ram lost from Kutumba seat. The six Congress candidates who won include Surendra Prasad (Valmiki Nagar), Abhishek Ranjan (Chanpatia), Manoj Biswas (Forbesganj), Abidur Rehman (Araria), Mohammad Kamrul Hoda (Kishanganj) and Manohar Prasad Singh (Manihari). The issue of vote theft by Rahul Gandhi pales in front of the people of Bihar.

However, it was also discussed in the political circles that Rahul Gandhi was not happy with the seat distribution. This is the reason why Congress had sent former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot to Patna to announce the CM face on behalf of the Grand Alliance. In 2020, Congress had contested elections on 70 seats, but could win only 19 seats, which was a big blow to the grand alliance’s hopes of forming the government. Despite Rahul Gandhi’s Voters’ Rights March, campaign against allegations of vote theft and Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the party struggled to connect with voters.

3. Prashant Kishore

Political strategist turned leader Prashant Kishor’s party had to face a crushing defeat in the 2025 Bihar elections. Even after two years of padyatra and considerable popularity, Jan Suraj could not leave any impact and got less votes than NOTA. Prashanti Kishore’s slogan of Development First was not very effective. His decision not to contest the elections himself created further confusion about the direction of the party. Prashant Kishore did not get anything, but he spoiled the game of Tejashwi Yadav.

4. Mukesh Sahni

Mukesh Sahni, who was projected as a major challenger in the Seemanchal region, was declared the face of the Grand Alliance for the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Despite this could not perform well. His Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni calls himself the Son of Mallah, but he failed to get votes in many seats belonging to the extremely backward caste. His Nishad vote bank also moved towards NDA due to welfare schemes.

5. India Alliance

The India alliance has suffered a major setback before many important elections including Bengal and Tamil Nadu. Differences over seat distribution and unclear leadership led to the party’s poor performance. BJP won 89 seats, JDU won 89, LJP (R) 19, HAM 5, RLM won 5 seats, while the opposition won only 35 seats. The Left parties failed to maintain their earlier influence.

NDA is moving towards a strong majority in Bihar. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the largest party in this election. While addressing the workers from BJP headquarters in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his address with Jai Chhathi Maiya. PM Modi said that the people of Bihar have wasted their time.

People of Bihar have blown away: PM Modi

On the results of Bihar, PM Modi said, “This massive victory, this unwavering faith… the people of Bihar have blown away our hearts. We the people of NDA, we are the servants of the people. We keep making the hearts of the people happy with our hard work and we are sitting here stealing the hearts of the people, so today Bihar has shown that once again there will be an NDA government.”

‘People of Bihar broke all records’

PM Modi said, “The people of Bihar have voted for a developed Bihar. The people of Bihar have voted for a prosperous Bihar. During the election campaign, I had requested the people of Bihar for record voting and the people of Bihar broke all the records.
Katta government will never return to Bihar: PM Modi

He said, “When I used to talk about Jungle Raj and Katta government, RJD did not raise any objection. However, this made Congress uneasy. Today I want to reiterate again that Katta government will never return to Bihar.”

‘End of communal MY formula’

PM Modi said, “This time people voted without fear. Bihar gave the biggest mandate to NDA after 2010. The Grand Alliance had created an appeasement MY formula. Today’s victory has created a positive MY formula for women and youth. The public has put an end to the communal MY formula of the Jungle Raj people. Today, Bihar is among the states in the country which have the highest number of youth and it includes youth of every religion and every caste. Today I am from Bihar. I especially congratulate the youth.”

‘Jungleraj will never return’

PM Modi said, “This victory of Bihar is the victory of daughters and mothers. Bihar will never see the return of Jungle Raj. There is satisfaction instead of appeasement in Bihar. People of Bihar have a big role in the development of India. The development of Bihar is not going to stop now.”

He said, “Gangaji reaches Bengal only through Bihar. Bihar has also paved the way for victory in Bengal. I assure the people of Bengal that now BJP will join hands with you to uproot Jungle Raj.”

As soon as he reached BJP headquarters, PM Modi greeted the people by swinging his towel in Bihari style. Earlier when he had swung the pot like this from Simaria Pool in Begusarai, Bihar. After this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda welcomed him by garlanding him with Makhana.

The speed with which the counting of votes for Bihar Assembly elections proceeded till the afternoon, made it clear that this time the wind is completely blowing in favor of NDA. The initial trends had created the atmosphere, and now the lead figures seem to almost confirm that NDA is going to regain power in Bihar. The continuously rising graph of the count has indicated that Nitish Kumar has once again reached the threshold of assuming the post of Chief Minister.

In this election, there was a direct contest between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. There was vigorous campaigning from both sides, but the trends show that this time the public has once again made up its mind to hand over the reins to the NDA. Let’s see some funny memes.

The condition of the RJD-Congress alliance also looks like this – ‘Brother, if not the result, at least give confidence!’ It was written in a meme-

‘Nehru ji is watching Congress’s performance live on his birthday.’ Nehru Jayanti is celebrated on 14 November. Seeing the condition of Congress, social media started spreading this meme in such a way that the entire timeline turned blue.

Prashant Kishor has been attacked by mimes, in which there is a superhit scene with 3 idiots in which Prashant Kishor is seen checking the results. People had expectations about JSP i.e. Jan Suraj Party, but the trend almost wiped out the party.

‘Check from below, from below!’

I’m sad for him#BiharElections2025 pic.twitter.com/tpNkpOYFZJ

The second meme is the one in which Manoj Bajpayee’s dialogue is there, in which Prashant Kishore’s face is visible.

“I am left far behind, brother?” And JSP logo is visible next to it.

The Grand Alliance is also being ridiculed. A meme with Tejashwi Yadav’s photo is going viral. In which it is written, ‘And when finally our turn came to become the Chief Minister, the exit poll also turned out to be correct!’

A meme shows a scene from the film Pushpa, in which Allu Arjun is seen. In which Bihar voter was seen looking at Rahul Gandhi and saying-

‘I came to your rally, so did you consider me as your voter? No, I am a fan of your comedy.

A video from the Panchayat web series is going viral in which MLA, Banarakas, Binod are dancing after winning the elections. In these, Modi’s photo is on the face of the MLA, Nitish Kumar, CM Yogi and Anant Singh are also seen on the face of Banarakas. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi are looking sad.

India’s oldest party and currently the main opposition party of the country, Congress seems to be lagging badly in the results of Bihar assembly elections. In Bihar, Congress Party was contesting the elections by joining the grand alliance with many other parties including Rashtriya Janata Dal. In Bihar, Congress had fielded its candidates on 61 assembly seats, but by evening the situation is such that the party has won only one seat, Kishanganj, and is leading on four. These four assembly seats include Kishanganj, Valmiki Nagar, Araria, Chanpatia and Manihari.

Congress has lead on four assembly seats

Congress’ Mohammad Kamrul Hoda has won from Kishanganj assembly seat of Bihar. At the same time, Congress candidate Manohar Prasad Singh is leading from Manihari Assembly seat with a margin of 8,179 votes. In Araria, Congress candidate Abiur Rehman is leading by 2406 votes and from Valmikinagar candidate Surendra Prasad is leading by a margin of just 72 votes, while in Chanpatia, Congress is leading by just 800 votes. However, on 56 assembly seats, Congress’s election vehicle seems to be in the back row.

Congress party lagged behind in the by-elections along with Bihar elections.

The Congress Party has been seen lagging behind in the Bihar Assembly elections as well as in the by-elections held in many states of the country. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has also announced the results of the by-elections held on 8 assembly seats in many states of the country on Friday (November 14, 2025). However, the Congress party has won the by-elections in Anta Assembly seat of Rajasthan and Jubilee Hills Assembly seat of Telangana.

In the by-election on Anta seat of Rajasthan, Congress had nominated Pramod Jain ‘Bhaya’, who won by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Morpal Suman by 15,612 votes. At the same time, in the by-election held on Jubilee Hills Assembly seat in Telangana, Congress candidate Naveen Yadav V. has defeated Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) candidate Maganti Sunita Gopinath by 24,729 votes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first reaction to BJP’s massive victory in Bihar has come to light. PM Modi said that this is the victory of development and good governance. He said, “This is a victory in the spirit of social justice and public welfare. I am very thankful to my family members of Bihar, who have blessed the NDA with a historic and unprecedented victory in the 2025 assembly elections. This tremendous mandate will give us the strength to serve the people and work with new determination for Bihar.”

PM Modi congratulated all NDA parties

PM Modi congratulated all the parties of NDA. He said, “NDA has made all-round development of the state. Seeing our track record and our vision of taking the state to new heights, people have given us an overwhelming majority. I heartily congratulate Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ji and our colleagues from the NDA family, Chirag Paswan ji, Jitan Ram Manjhi ji and Upendra Kushwaha ji for this tremendous victory.”

People voted on development agenda: PM Modi

According to PM Modi, the public voted keeping the development agenda in mind. He said, “I express my gratitude to every NDA worker who has worked tirelessly. They went among the public and put forward our development agenda and strongly responded to every lie of the opposition. I appreciate them wholeheartedly.”

PM Modi has assured the people of Bihar to do even better work in different fields. He said, “In the coming times, we will work vigorously for the development of Bihar, its infrastructure and to give a new identity to the culture of the state. We will ensure that the youth power and women power here get ample opportunities for a prosperous life.”

NDA is moving towards a strong majority

As per the trends of Bihar elections so far, NDA is ahead on 202 seats and the figures of victories will also be released after some time. BJP seems to be emerging as the largest party in this election with 91 seats so far. Whereas JDU is seen winning 83 seats, LJP (R) 19, HAM 5 and RLM 4 seats.

As the day is progressing, NDA is moving towards a strong majority in Bihar. In the trends so far in Bihar’s 243 assembly seats, NDA is ahead on 206 seats and Grand Alliance is ahead on 30 seats. BJP has made a historic performance in Bihar and seems to be the largest party with 95 seats. JDU is leading on 82 seats, LJP (R) on 20 seats, Hum on 5 and RLM on 4 seats. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has considered BJP’s victory in Bihar as historic.

People have made us victorious: Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “The way the people of Bihar have supported the NDA is historic. The people of Bihar have shown their support for the development done by the double engine government. The work done under the leadership of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar in the last 10 years has been successful and the people have made us victorious. I want to thank the people of Bihar for this.”

The trends of Bihar elections will now translate into results in some time. The public rejected all the promises of Tejashwi Yadav, the Chief Ministerial candidate from the Grand Alliance, and has once again shown confidence in the NDA. BJP and JDU had contested elections on 101-101 seats, in which the strike rate of victory of the candidates of both the parties has been excellent.

RJD’s worst performance

Talking about the Grand Alliance, RJD seems to be limited to 24 seats, Congress to 2, VIP to 0, Left to 2 and IIP to 0 seats. At the same time, Prashant Kishore’s magic also could not show any effect in Bihar. Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde has given a big statement. He said, “We had fought the elections under the leadership of Nitish ji. All five parties will together decide who will be the Chief Minister.

The counting process is underway on Friday (November 14, 2025) after bumper voting in the Bihar Assembly elections, in which the BJP-led NDA seems to be heading towards a resounding victory by taking the lead with more than two-thirds majority. NDA has also broken its record of winning 206 seats in the 2010 elections. In the trends, NDA is seen leading on 208 seats. At the same time, while gaining the lead in this high-profile election riot, the party has made a sharp attack on the opposition alliance and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. NDA is claiming that Congress leaders have now become symbols of continuous election defeats.

BJP leader Amit Malviya took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT department head Amit Malviya took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by posting a post on social media platform X. He said, ‘Rahul Gandhi! Another election, another defeat! If there were any award for continuity in electoral defeat, he would have won all the awards. Seeing his speed, even Haar might be wondering how he finds them with so much confidence.

Sudhanshu Trivedi reminded Congress of Kabir’s couplet

At the same time, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi read a couplet of Kabir Das to take a dig at the Congress and appealed to the party to check the voter list to confirm the results. He said, ‘After crossing 150 and 175 seats, we are now moving towards 200. I want to remind the Congress of a line of Kabir Das that bad jo dekhan main chala, bad na milya koi. Whatever your heart searches, there is no one worse than me.

Rahul Gandhi was seen very active before the elections in Bihar.

Rahul Gandhi was seen very active before the assembly elections in Bihar. He had taken out a 16-day Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar. Under which he visited 23 districts of Bihar. During this, he raised the issue of vote theft and even accused the Election Commission and BJP of colluding to ensure victory in the elections. Congress and Grand Alliance had termed their campaign as a fight to save the Constitution and called the state government a vote thief.

Rahul Gandhi was one of the main campaigners of Congress and Grand Alliance in Bihar. However, the impact of his political rallies and sharp statements could not be translated into votes, as a result of which the Congress and the opposition grand alliance seem to be heading towards a shameful defeat.

Also read: ‘The people of Bihar made us win…’, Nitin Gadkari’s first reaction was when BJP became the largest party in the elections.

Counting of votes continues in Bihar Assembly elections, but the trends in the first two...

Counting of votes continues in Bihar Assembly elections, but the trends in the first two hours left everyone breathless. First of all, Jansuraj created a stir by taking the first trend in his name, but NDA seemed to prove the claims of exit polls correct by gaining a one-sided lead. After this, the grand alliance suddenly showed momentum and gave a tough fight, but now the contest seems to be one-sided. Let us know how were the first two hours of counting of votes for Bihar Assembly elections? What was the condition of which party during this period?

NDA continuously ahead, never backward

Talking about the trends of the first two hours, NDA justified the claims made in all the exit polls. This alliance gained the lead in the beginning and maintained it till 10 am. However, when the trends showed a tie between the NDA and the Grand Alliance on 91-91 seats, the excitement increased, but this happiness evaporated within a few moments and the NDA again took the lead. However, it is a fact that despite these ups and downs, NDA has not lagged behind any party even once. Till the time of writing the news, NDA is leading on 156 seats.

BJP is the largest party in NDA

It is said that after entering any field, BJP first makes the regional party its ‘elder brother’ and later gradually comes into the role of ‘elder brother’ itself. Something similar is visible in the initial trends of Bihar Assembly elections. In fact, till the time of writing this news, BJP is leading on 78 seats. With this, BJP seems to be becoming not only NDA but also the biggest party in Bihar Assembly elections 2025. According to this, the party seems to be winning more seats than the 74 seats in 2020.

JDU improved its previous performance

Even though JDU had succeeded in forming the government with BJP in the 2020 assembly elections, it was left at the third position in terms of seats. In the 2020 assembly elections, JDU had won only 43 seats. Now the party seems to be improving its previous performance in the 2025 assembly elections and till 10 am, JDU is leading on 69 seats.

Will RJD become the largest party?

If we talk about the last 3 assembly elections i.e. 15 years of Bihar politics, RJD emerged as the largest party every time. In the 2010 assembly elections, RJD had won 115 seats, while in the 2015 elections the party had won 80 seats. Apart from this, even though NDA formed the government in the 2020 assembly elections, RJD was at the first position with 75 seats. However, RJD does not seem to repeat its performance in the 2025 elections. In the trends till 10 am, RJD is leading in only 64 seats.

bad condition of congress

The condition of Congress looks very bad in the 2025 assembly elections. The party had fielded candidates on 61 seats, but till 10 am, it was leading on only 12 seats. This performance of Congress is worse than the results of 2020, because during that time the party had won 19 seats.

Also read: According to Election Commission trends, Nitish Kumar’s JDU becomes the largest party, defeats BJP, condition of Grand Alliance
