The year 2025 has proved to be a year of important successes for the BJP-led NDA in the history of Indian politics. From coming to power in Delhi to the massive victory in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) waved the flag in every direction in such a way that the strategies of the opponents were ruined.

Now the last month of the year has opened the doors of the south for BJP. The most concrete example of this is the results of local body elections in Kerala.

BJP’s breach in Left’s stronghold

By registering a historic victory in Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation, BJP made a dent in the stronghold of Left parties, which became a watershed moment in Kerala politics. This victory of BJP at the very end of 2025 is very important.

Especially at a time when assembly elections are to be held in South Indian states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu. BJP was never able to win outright in the states of South India.

Did wonders in Bihar, NDA alliance hoisted the flag

Just a month before this, the BJP-led NDA alliance won the Bihar assembly elections. During the elections held in Bihar in October-November, the influence of NDA was clearly visible on every section, every region and every issue. This is why this year became a symbol of political dominance, public support and historic success for BJP.

Both the BJP and the BJP-led NDA have repeated this type of performance in Bihar since 2010. 15 years ago, JDU had captured 115 and BJP 91 assembly seats. In 2025, BJP won 89 and JDU won 85 assembly seats. By adding other constituent parties, NDA had crossed the 200 mark for the second time in Bihar. In this storm, RJD got halved as compared to the previous elections, while Congress got as many MLAs as could be counted on its fingers.,

BJP wins in Delhi after 27 years

BJP had already laid the foundation of this massive victory in Delhi with the beginning of the year 2025. For 27 years before 2025, Delhi was the only name in North India where BJP could never form a government. In the year 1993, BJP got its last victory in the Delhi Assembly elections. After that the party kept getting into trouble inside Delhi.

In between, BJP made several attempts to rise from its bad times. Even in the initial ‘Modi wave’, BJP could not win Delhi. After all, BJP was able to show its magic only in the year 2025, when it got majority with 48 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

NDA candidate wins in Vice President election

This year, the Vice President election was important for BJP and NDA. Jagdeep Dhankhar had suddenly resigned from the post, after which elections were held for the post of Vice President in the month of August. NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate was CP Radhakrishnan, while the opposition parties chose B. Sudarshan Reddy was fielded. CP Radhakrishnan defeated his rival B. Defeated Sudarshan Reddy.

After the defeat in Bihar Assembly elections, leader Tej Pratap Yadav is seen continuously active on social media. On Wednesday, he shared a new video on his social media platform X, in which he is seen enjoying the sunlight under the open sky in his residence.

Mahadev’s hymn is being heard in the background of the video. While sharing the video, Tej Pratap wrote, “When the world makes you feel bad, Mahadev comes to your help.”

Tej Pratap’s calm form is visible in the video

Tej Pratap has also recently started his own YouTube channel. Through this channel he is sharing his thoughts, lifestyle and political messages from time to time. After losing the election, he did not show himself defeated and maintained his presence in a new style. In the video, Tej Pratap appears calm and confident, which sends the message that he is trying to remain strong among his supporters even after the defeat.

Teju Bhaiya’s video is going viral on social media.

Tej Pratap Yadav did not get the expected support from the public in the elections. Many of his supporters were extremely disappointed after the defeat. Some supporters even shed tears and said that they had seen their hero defeated. In such an environment, Tej Pratap has taken steps towards giving encouragement and positive message to his supporters by taking the help of social media.

This new video of his is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It is seen in the video that the sun’s rays are falling on his face, seeing which supporters have called it inspirational. This step gives a clear message that despite the election defeat, Tej Pratap plans to continue his political journey.

Tej Pratap will increase his activism on political platform

Apart from this, through YouTube channel Tej Pratap is not only sharing his personal life and religious interests but is also motivating his supporters. He has also indicated that in future he will increase his activism on the political platform even more. This new video of his is being considered as part of his strategy to maintain trust and hope among his supporters.

This step of Tej Pratap Yadav clearly shows that he does not consider defeat as a personal weakness and is continuously working towards maintaining his political influence. His supporters are considering this as a sign of hope and new energy.

Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore broke his silence on not opening his party’s account in Bihar elections and claimed that the elections were ‘rigged’. However, he admitted that at this time he had no evidence to support this allegation.

Prashant Kishor described Jan Suraj’s defeat as a ‘crushing’ defeat, but also stressed that the impact of his campaign was visible at the grassroots level. He claimed that the voting trends were not matching with the feedback his team received during the months-long Jan Suraj Yatra. He said he believed something went wrong.

‘Some unstoppable forces were at play’
Speaking to India Today TV on Sunday (November 23), Prashant Kishor said that some unstoppable forces were at play, parties which people hardly knew got lakhs of votes. Some people are saying that EVMs were tampered. This is something that people accuse after losing. I don’t have any proof, but a lot of things don’t match. Prima facie it seems something has gone wrong, but we don’t know what.

NDA government accused of distributing money
Apart from this, the founder of Jan Suraj also accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of distributing money to thousands of women voters in Bihar to manipulate the election results. Kishore said, “From the day of announcement of the elections till the day of voting, the women were given Rs 10,000. Even this amount was not enough for their promise. They were told that they would get a total of Rs 2 lakh and this Rs 10,000 was just the first instalment.

‘Fear of return of Lalu’s jungle raj’
Prashant Kishore further said that another factor that was working most against Jan Suraj was the fear of the return of Lalu’s jungle raj. By the last phase of the campaign, many voters had assumed that Jan Suraj was in no position to win. Their concern was simple, if they voted for us and we did not win, it could pave the way for the return of Lalu’s jungle raj. This fear certainly turned some people away.

With the swearing in of the new NDA government in Bihar, it has become clear which party has got the maximum number of ministerial posts in comparison to its seats. BJP and JD(U) are the largest parties in the NDA alliance which returned to power with 202 seats, but there seems to be an interesting balance between the two in the distribution of ministerial posts. Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, while BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha became Deputy Chief Ministers.

How many seats does which party have?
NDA has a total of 202 seats in the new assembly, in which BJP is the largest party with 89 seats. On the other hand, JDU has 85 seats. Apart from these, LJP (Ram Vilas) has 19 seats, HAM has 5 and RLM has 4 seats.

NDA seat distribution in Bihar elections 2025
In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, NDA had contested all 243 seats. In this alliance, BJP and JDU were given equal number of 101-101 seats. Apart from these, LJP (Ram Vilas) got 29 seats, HAM (HAM) got 6 seats and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) also got 6 seats.

How many ministerial posts have come to JDU’s account?
Talking about ministerial posts, JDU has got a total of nine posts including the Chief Minister. Apart from Nitish Kumar, JDU’s Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Vijendra Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Leshi Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Madan Sahni, Sunil Kumar and Mohammad Jama Khan have been made ministers. JDU has been given a balanced and adequate representation as per its proportion of seats.

Most ministers from BJP quota?
BJP has got two Deputy Chief Ministers and apart from this, twelve more leaders have been made ministers. These include Mangal Pandey, Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Roshan, Shreyasi Singh and Pramod Kumar. In this way, BJP got a total of 14 ministerial posts, which is more than JDU in number, but considering BJP’s seat count (89), its minister per seat ratio is slightly less than JDU.

Even small parties are in trouble
LJP (Ram Vilas) has secured two ministerial posts despite only 19 seats, which is considered a strong bargain compared to its size. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM has five seats and has got one ministerial post, which is considered a good representation for a small party. Similarly, RLM has four seats and has also got a ministerial post.

Chief Ministers of many states including PM Modi were present at the swearing in.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda were present in the swearing-in. Apart from this, Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, Rekha Gupta of Delhi, Naib Singh Saini of Haryana, Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam and Nephew Rio of Nagaland were also present.

After the defeat in Bihar Assembly elections, opposition leaders are cornering the Election Commission (ECI) and the Modi government. For the first time, BJP has emerged as the largest party in Bihar by winning 89 seats, whereas even the Grand Alliance together could not touch the figure of 50. The statement of businessman Robert Vadra, husband of Congress General Secretary and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has also come out on the same matter.

Vadra has raised questions on NDA’s landslide victory in Bihar and claimed that elections were not conducted properly and re-elections should be held in Bihar. Not only this, Vadra has also talked about protesting after the defeat in Bihar. He said that we want an honest country in which people are happy. Rahul Gandhi is not concerned with victory or defeat, he wants to keep the country secular. No matter how much defeat he faces, Rahul Gandhi will not stop, he will keep fighting.

Serious allegations made against BJP
Robert Vadra alleged that BJP is controlling the agencies and said that the Election Commission works at the behest of BJP. Vadra claimed that unless the Election Commission is controlled, you will see similar elections. He also said that if this continues then people will come out and protest.

What did Vadra say on Rahul Gandhi’s foreign tour?
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s foreign tour, he said that if he (Rahul Gandhi) goes to see someone sick, will he have to tell everyone that I am going out? He said that Rahul has gone to see someone sick.
read this also

After the massive defeat of the Grand Alliance in the Bihar Assembly elections (2025), a review meeting of RJD was held at the residence of Tejashwi Yadav on Monday (November 17, 2025). In this, a strategy was made for the future. RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav told the media about what was decided in the meeting. He said that in the meeting held, Tejashwi Yadav has been elected as the leader of the legislative party.

Shakti Yadav said that all the RJD candidates were present in the meeting. There were also winning MLAs. First a meeting was held with the elected MLA. In this, everyone elected Tejashwi Yadav as the leader of RJD’s legislative party. In the review meeting, National President Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and senior leaders as well as Jagdanand Singh presented their views.

‘The mandate that came… is not being digested’

RJD spokesperson said that people also gave their opinion on this mandate. Because every person of Bihar was aware of the situation on the ground. There was a resentment against the government, but the way the mandate has come, it is not being digested.

In the meeting, Lalu Yadav gave freedom to Tejashwi Yadav to work independently. Said that he will take the party forward as a whole. Although Tejashwi Yadav said that if you want, you can choose someone else as leader, but no one was ready. Due to the opinion of all the people, he (Tejashwi) had to take the responsibility and was elected the leader of RJD legislative party.

Work will be done at booth and panchayat level

Further on the election results, Shakti Yadav said that this is machinery management mandate. Our review will run. Election Commission rules were flouted. Elections were going on and money was being sent to the account. This is the result of the machinery management that has taken place. We are not going to lose. We are talking on all points. Told the NDA that they are going to form the government, absolutely form the government and you should live up to the public sentiments. Regarding the future strategy, Shakti Yadav said that RJD will move forward to work at booth level and panchayat level.

RJD MLA Bhai Virendra said, “Tejashwi Yadav has been elected by the newly elected MLAs as the leader of the Legislative Assembly on behalf of the party. We will work on the guidelines given. There has been theft in EVMs. We have to fight against EVMs. We have won the elections because of what has happened with the ballot paper. We have lost in the EVMs only.”

Also read- Mahabandhan suspicious of NDA’s landslide victory? MP Pappu Yadav raised these questions, know what he said

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati has raised questions on the fairness of Bihar elections. He said, ‘Had the elections been completely free and fair, BSP would have definitely won more seats.’

Let us tell you, in the Bihar Assembly elections, out of total 243 seats, BSP has won only one seat. BSP supremo Mayawati, while sharing the post on her

He said that the administration there and all the opposition parties tried their best to defeat the BSP candidate on the pretext of repeated counting of votes, but due to the brave workers of the party standing firm all the time, this conspiracy of the opponents could not succeed.

He said that despite giving a tough fight to the opponents in other seats of this region of Bihar, BSP candidates could not win the elections, whereas if the elections had been completely free and fair, then according to the feedback received from the people, BSP would have definitely won many more seats.

He said that but this could not happen. He told his party workers not to panic and work with more preparation in the future.

NDA achieved a landslide victory

The ruling National Democratic Alliance in Bihar registered a spectacular victory on Friday by winning 202 seats in the elections for the 243-member Bihar Assembly. Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the largest party by winning 89 seats. Janata Dal United won 85 seats, while Union Minister Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) got 19 seats.

After Bihar Assembly elections, a new controversy has arisen in politics. Jan Suraj has raised questions on the NDA government saying that the amount of Rs 10,000 sent to the women’s accounts just before the voting was used by the state government by withdrawing it from the funds received from the World Bank for some other project. Jan Suraj spokesperson Pawan Verma claims that this money was sent to the accounts shortly before the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct, which had a deep impact on the election environment.

Verma says that this amount was transferred only about an hour ago and many reliable sources informed him about it. Although he also admitted that the truth of this allegation is not completely clear, but if it is proved to be factually correct then it will raise ethical questions on the entire election. Because this scheme of Rs 10,000 reached 1.25 crore women voters and its political impact was being felt by all parties during the elections.

World Bank Fund and Bihar’s increasing debt

In the same sequence, Pawan Verma also said that the debt of the state has increased rapidly and has now reached above Rs 4 lakh crore and a huge amount has to be paid every day in the form of interest. According to him, due to the empty treasury of the government, the help of external funds was taken to send such a huge amount before the elections. He also alleged that a message was spread among the women that if the NDA did not return to power, further funds would be stopped.

Women vote bank and changing nature of electoral equation

Women are continuously playing a decisive role in the politics of Bihar. In the last many elections, women’s voting has been more than men and that is why women’s welfare appears at the forefront of government schemes. Schemes like gas, health, ration and sending money directly into accounts have built a trust in the government among women voters, which influenced the results this time too. Pawan Verma says that this political trust made the path of new options like Jan Suraj difficult. They call it part of electoral economics, where economic aid and political decisions are directly linked to each other.

Free schemes and political contradictions

Verma also pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has criticized free politics many times. But in Bihar elections, sending huge amount directly into the accounts of women was the same type of strategy, which was used for political gains. He said that this contradiction was a topic of discussion among the general public and NDA gained electoral edge through this.

Jan Suraj’s stand and political debate on prohibition

On Jan Suraj’s defeat, it was also said that Prashant Kishor had talked about changes in liquor prohibition when he came to power, which alienated women voters. Rejecting this claim, Pawan Verma said that liquor is available illegally in almost every area of the state and this has increased the problems of the family. According to him, it has a direct impact on women, hence the issue of prohibition cannot be the reason for Jan Suraj’s defeat.

Jan Suraj’s defeat and election logic

Jan Suraj got good overall vote percentage, but did not get even a single seat. Verma attributed this to the changing vote pattern due to Rs 10,000 given to women, NDA’s strong women-centric schemes and the traditional political structure of Bihar. He says that vote percentage and winning seats in Bihar are two completely different things and this election has made this clear.

While NDA registered a big victory in the results of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, another worrying picture emerged. This time the number of Muslim MLAs in the House has come down to only 10, which is the lowest in the last 35 years. Despite the Muslim population in the state being around 17.7%, their political representation is very low which clearly shows the inequality of election strategies and ticket distribution.

In this election, both the Grand Alliance and the NDA expressed less confidence in Muslim faces. There were many seats where Muslim voters traditionally play a decisive role, but political parties fielded non-Muslim candidates in those areas too. AIMIM was not included in the grand alliance, after which the party decided to contest the elections alone. Due to all these reasons, the representation of the Muslim community was significantly reduced and the number of seats came down to a record level.

AIMIM again showed strength in Seemanchal

Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM maintained its influence in the politics of Seemanchal this time also. The party fielded candidates on 25 seats and won 5 of them. These victories were recorded in seats like Amour, Kochadhaman, Jokihat, Bahadurganj and Bayasi, where Muslim population is high and AIMIM had performed strongly in the last elections also. This time the influence of the party was more clearly visible in the four districts of Seemanchal, Araria, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj.

Status of JDU Muslim candidates

JDU has fielded four Muslim candidates in the 2025 elections. Among these, Mohammad Zama Khan came out ahead from Chainpur. Chainpur is not a Muslim dominated area, hence BJP and JDU launched a joint campaign to woo Hindu voters on this seat. In 2020, JDU had given tickets to 11 Muslim faces, but they did not get any success in that election. This time, after reducing the number of candidates, the party was successful in getting one seat.

The only Muslim face of LJP (RV)

Chirag Paswan’s party gave ticket to Mohammad Kalimuddin from Bahadurganj. He survived the competition but remained in third place. AIMIM’s Tausif Alam registered a comfortable victory on this seat, while Congress stood second.

RJD got two Muslim seats

Rashtriya Janata Dal gave limited tickets to Muslim candidates, but the party won on the two seats where it got the opportunity. Asif Ahmed was victorious from Bisfi, while in Raghunathpur, Shahabuddin’s son Osama Saheb won and made the family’s political comeback after 21 years. This time RJD adopted a new balance in ticket distribution, in which an attempt was seen to create a fresh coordination between Yadav, Muslim, EBC, Dalit and upper caste communities.

Mixed situation of Congress in Seemanchal

Congress maintained its presence in Seemanchal like in 2020. Mohammad Kamrul Hoda won from Kishanganj and Abidur Rehman won from Araria. However, a major upset was seen when Congress Legislature Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan lost to JDU candidate Dulal Chandra Goswami in Nathnagar.

Lowest number of Muslim MLAs since 1990

If we look at the previous figures of Muslim representation in Bihar, the result of 2025 shows a big decline. In the year 2010, 19 Muslim MLAs won. In 2015 the number increased to 24. Whereas in 2020 again there will be 19 MLAs and in 2025 it will come down to only 10. That is, about 4.1% of the House, while the population is about 17.7%.
