Cabinet expansion is awaited in Bihar. On April 15, Samrat Chaudhary took oath as the Chief Minister. On the same day, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav from JDU quota took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. Presently all the departments are divided among these three people. Now there is talk of cabinet expansion, so it is believed that it can happen any time after May 4. The probable date is 6th and 8th May.

There is a total quota of 36 ministers in Bihar including the Chief Minister. If sources are to be believed, the formula has been decided for all the five parties of NDA. The quota of JDU and BJP will be equal. There will be 16 ministers from BJP including the Chief Minister and 16 ministers from JDU including both the Deputy Chief Ministers.

That means 15 faces from BJP and 14 from JDU will become ministers in future. Along with this, according to the old formula, Chirag Paswan’s LJP will make two ministers from Ram Vilas. One minister will be made from Upendra Kushwaha’s party (RLMO) and one from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party (HAM).

New faces may get a chance in the cabinet

There is no possibility of any special change in JDU. Most of the old faces can remain in the cabinet. Some new faces may be included. Some new faces may also get a chance in BJP.

Who can get a chance in the cabinet?

Among the possible faces, apart from the two Deputy Chief Ministers from JDU, Shravan Kumar, Leshi Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Jama Khan, Sheela Mandal, Sunil Kumar, Madan Sahni, Ratnesh Sada, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, Jayant Raj, these people can become ministers. All of them have been ministers earlier also. On the other hand, there is discussion that some MLAs coming from the team of Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant can also become ministers. The names of young faces like Chetan Anand are also there in it.

There are signs of new faces getting more opportunities along with old faces in BJP. The party can decide the name keeping in mind caste balance, experience and youth leadership. BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi has indicated that the cabinet will be balanced and youth and women will be given priority. Among the possible faces are Vijay Sinha, Mangal Pandey, Ramkripal Yadav, Shreyasi Singh, Lakhendra Paswan, Rama Nishad, Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi, Arun Shankar Prasad, Sanjay Singh ‘Tiger’.

Deepak Prakash from RLM can become a minister again. There is every possibility of this. Chirag Paswan can give another chance to Sanjay Paswan and Sanjay Singh from his party. The name of Santosh Suman is almost certain from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM.
