After the results of Bihar Assembly elections (2025), Jan Suraj Party leader Prashant Kishore was quiet but he is going to be active once again. On Wednesday (February 04, 2026), a press conference was held by the party in Patna. During this, feedback was given on the recently presented Bihar budget and information was also given about Prashant Kishore’s visit to Bihar.

Party state president Manoj Bharti said that from February 8, Prashant Kishor will go on a tour of Bihar, where he will interact with the public in different districts of the state and take direct feedback on the budget and the current conditions of the state. The question is whether Prashant Kishor has again started preparing to corner the government and expose it? This will be known during the journey.

Party expressed deep concern over Bihar budget

Earlier in the press conference, Jan Suraj Party expressed deep concern over the budget presented by Bihar government on Tuesday. It was said in the press conference that the state budget speech ended in just 11 minutes 43 seconds, which shows how serious the government is towards Bihar and the people of Bihar.

Apart from Jan Suraj state president Manoj Bharti, national spokesperson Saurabh Kumar and media in-charge Obaidur Rahman were also present on this occasion. Saurabh Kumar said that Jan Suraj has raised the question whether it is appropriate to give only 12 minutes for the budget related to the future of a big state like Bihar? This attitude clearly shows how careless the Finance Minister and the state government are regarding the development and public interest of Bihar.

Saurabh Kumar said that the per capita income in the year 2025 was Rs 68,624, which has increased by only Rs 20 in 2026. This increase is negligible and shows the real picture of the economic condition of the state. The government has made budget cuts in important sectors like education and health, while the expenditure on welfare schemes has been increased from Rs 38 thousand crore to Rs 58,909 crore. Senior party leaders said this shows a serious imbalance of priorities.

‘In which sector jobs will be created’

During this, Jan Suraj asked the government in which sector employment and jobs will be created in Bihar in the next five years? In the current situation, if the central government withdraws its cooperation, then Bihar can reach the stage of financial bankruptcy in the next 5 years with 12 percent fiscal deficit.
