Samrat Chaudhary has been the Deputy Chief Minister twice in the Nitish government and now Samrat has taken charge of the state. On Wednesday, 15 April 2026, Samrat took oath as CM at Lok Bhavan.

Samrat Chaudhary took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday (April 15, 2026). After the oath, Samrat Chaudhary told the media that I will start working for Bihar from today itself. Only Modi-Nitish model will work in Bihar.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also visited the party office today (Wednesday). Here he told the media, “I have to work for the development of Bihar. With the cooperation of the workers on whose strength BJP was formed… I have come to accept everyone’s greetings. I have come to meet the people.”

Congratulations are coming from everywhere

On the swearing-in of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deepak Prakash, son of Upendra Kushwaha, said, “The new government has been formed, best wishes and congratulations to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and the new Deputy Chief Minister. The way work has been done in Bihar under the leadership of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the target he had set for Bihar, the government will definitely achieve that target with more energy.”

BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav said on Samrat Choudhary taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar, “Many congratulations and best wishes to him. Under his leadership, Bihar will move forward and develop. The dream of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar will come true…”

On the other hand, BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said on Samrat Chaudhary taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar, “Bharatiya Janata Party is fortunate that the post of NDA Chief Minister has gone to BJP. This is an NDA government and it will take forward the work of Nitish Kumar…”
