Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU gained a lot in Bihar Assembly elections (2025). The party directly reached 85 seats from 43 seats. Now on one hand the party has emerged in a strong position and on the other hand planning has started for Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar. His entry in JDU is almost certain.

There was a demand even before the elections to bring Nishant into the party. Posters were put up by the workers. Many times the workers had demanded that Nishant be brought into the party, because in view of Nitish Kumar’s health, the responsibility of managing the party should now be given to Nishant. Now it is believed that the command of JDU may go into the hands of Nishant.

After Nitish there is no one better than Nishant

A senior leader of JDU and who is very close to Nitish Kumar said that the main vote bank of the party is backward and extremely backward. In such a situation, after Nitish Kumar, there can be no one better than Nishant Kumar. Only he can handle the party. After the elections are over, Nishant is now being put forward for further politics. Nishant also wishes to become active in the politics of Bihar. It cannot be said when he will come, but it is expected that he will come very soon. Big leaders and advisors close to Nitish Kumar are also trying to convince Nitish Kumar about this.

What do political experts say?

Amidst all the discussions and statements, Dhirendra Kumar, who understands the politics of Bihar, said, “Nitish Kumar is now in the last stages of politics. In such a situation, there should be one face to handle the party and no one is better than Nishant Kumar. Because if we look at the history of all the regional parties, the successor has been from the family only. It is because of the family that the party moves forward. Because the arrival of someone else again affects the vote bank.”

He further said, “Nitish Kumar did backward and extremely backward politics from the beginning. In such a situation, unless someone from his family comes forward to consolidate the votes of the backward community, the party’s vote bank will not remain stable. This is the reason why Nishant Kumar has now come into the limelight. Nitish Kumar is a seasoned player of politics. In such a situation, he also understands this very well. In such a situation, Nishant can join JDU at any time.”

What are the leaders saying about Nishant?

Recently, JDU’s acting national president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha had said that the party people want Nishant Kumar to work for the party. On the other hand, BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain had said that this is a very good and happy thing.

Claim to take membership after Kharmas

On the other hand, on Thursday (December 11, 2025), JDU workers also made a big revelation. Said that membership campaign is currently being run by the party. The target is to make two crore members, with Nishant Kumar in the leading role. After Kharmas, Nishant Kumar himself will take membership of the party.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar on Thursday (November 20) thanked the people of the state for the “historic mandate” and credited women voters in particular for their “special participation”, but dodged questions related to his political debut.

His father took oath as Chief Minister for the record 10th time on Thursday (20 November). In a brief conversation with journalists including ‘PTI Video’ at the swearing-in ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan, Nishant said, “Salute and best wishes to the people of Bihar. I thank and congratulate from the bottom of my heart. The way people worked, the way women voted, their special participation is very important for Bihar.”

What did Nishant say on the question of coming into politics?

During this time, when he was asked when he would enter politics, Nishant smiled and left from there. Nishant has never contested any election and unlike the heirs of many political families, he has so far stayed away from public life. Nishant’s political debut was also discussed a lot in this election.

His father and Janata Dal United (JDU) chief Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time. Nitish held the reins of Bihar for almost two decades and has created a special women vote bank.

BJP made a strong comeback in the elections

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), an alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas) and two other parties, returned to power by winning 202 seats in the 243-member assembly.

BJP emerged as the largest party with 89 seats. After this, JDU got 85 seats, while LJP (Ram Vilas) got 19, Hindustani Awami Morcha got five and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLMO) got four seats.

Women voted enthusiastically

According to Election Commission data, women voted more than men. The voting percentage of women was more than 71 percent, while among men it was 62.9 percent. In seven districts, women voted 14 percentage points more and in 10 other districts this difference was more than 10 points. National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders cited this as the reason for the alliance’s decisive advance.

Senior NDA officials attributed the “women mandate” to Nitish’s welfare rule. This included everything from the 2016 prohibition policy (which received widespread support from women affected by alcohol-induced domestic violence) to large-scale economic assistance schemes given before the elections.

The previous NDA government had given Rs 10,000 each to over 1.21 crore ‘Jeevika Didis’ to start micro businesses and had promised additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh for their ventures.

Benefit from ‘Jeevika Didi’ project

The government was running the World Bank-assisted project ‘JEEVIKA’ through an autonomous body, Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (BRLPS), which aims at social and economic empowerment of the rural poor. The women associated with this project are called ‘Jeevika Didi’.

In a state that often grapples with caste divisions, JDU leaders said women had emerged as a voter category that overcame many obstacles. They became the demographic group that reshaped the election results and strengthened the foundation for Nitish Kumar’s return to power.

With the swearing in of the new NDA government in Bihar, it has become clear which party has got the maximum number of ministerial posts in comparison to its seats. BJP and JD(U) are the largest parties in the NDA alliance which returned to power with 202 seats, but there seems to be an interesting balance between the two in the distribution of ministerial posts. Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, while BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha became Deputy Chief Ministers.

How many seats does which party have?
NDA has a total of 202 seats in the new assembly, in which BJP is the largest party with 89 seats. On the other hand, JDU has 85 seats. Apart from these, LJP (Ram Vilas) has 19 seats, HAM has 5 and RLM has 4 seats.

NDA seat distribution in Bihar elections 2025
In the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, NDA had contested all 243 seats. In this alliance, BJP and JDU were given equal number of 101-101 seats. Apart from these, LJP (Ram Vilas) got 29 seats, HAM (HAM) got 6 seats and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) also got 6 seats.

How many ministerial posts have come to JDU’s account?
Talking about ministerial posts, JDU has got a total of nine posts including the Chief Minister. Apart from Nitish Kumar, JDU’s Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Vijendra Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Leshi Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Madan Sahni, Sunil Kumar and Mohammad Jama Khan have been made ministers. JDU has been given a balanced and adequate representation as per its proportion of seats.

Most ministers from BJP quota?
BJP has got two Deputy Chief Ministers and apart from this, twelve more leaders have been made ministers. These include Mangal Pandey, Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Roshan, Shreyasi Singh and Pramod Kumar. In this way, BJP got a total of 14 ministerial posts, which is more than JDU in number, but considering BJP’s seat count (89), its minister per seat ratio is slightly less than JDU.

Even small parties are in trouble
LJP (Ram Vilas) has secured two ministerial posts despite only 19 seats, which is considered a strong bargain compared to its size. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM has five seats and has got one ministerial post, which is considered a good representation for a small party. Similarly, RLM has four seats and has also got a ministerial post.

Chief Ministers of many states including PM Modi were present at the swearing in.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda were present in the swearing-in. Apart from this, Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, Rekha Gupta of Delhi, Naib Singh Saini of Haryana, Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam and Nephew Rio of Nagaland were also present.

After NDA got a huge majority in Bihar Assembly elections, a new government was formed on 20 November. Nitish Kumar has once again been selected for the post of Chief Minister. With this, Nitish Kumar has taken oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time. There is curiosity among people to know how much is the wealth of CM Nitish Kumar, who has been the head of Bihar for a long time? In such a situation, we tell you how much total wealth he has.

After taking oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, his affidavit came out, in which his total assets are recorded as Rs 1.64 crore. This property is almost equal to last year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and many NDA leaders were present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Nitish Kumar’s property details
The total movable assets of Nitish Kumar have been stated to be Rs 16.97 lakh. In this he has clarified that he has Rs 21,052 in cash. He told that about Rs 60,811 are deposited in his bank accounts. He also mentioned that the value of his total movable assets including all other movable properties, investments and fixed deposits comes to Rs 16.97 lakh.

CM Nitish Kumar has only one car
In the affidavit of 2024, he has stated that he has a Ford EcoSport Titanium car, which is worth Rs 11,32,753. He said that he has two gold rings of 20 grams each and a silver ring, the total value of which is Rs 1,26,000. He has also given details of all the important items present in his house, which include AC, computer, air cooler, treadmill, stabilizer, washing machine, microwave, OTG and exercise cycle, and their total value is Rs 3,52,125.

Sushasan Babu also has cows and calves
Nitish Kumar told that he has 13 cows. He also wrote that he had 10 calves. All these animals are part of his movable properties.

Flat worth Rs 1.48 crore
Nitish Kumar’s immovable properties are worth a total of Rs 1.48 crore. He told that he has a flat of 1000 square feet in Dwarka area of Delhi, which is worth Rs 1,48,00,000. Even in the last year 2023, his property was of approximately the same value, hence only a slight increase has been seen in his property value this time.

The details of son’s property were also made public in 2015
The property of Nitish Kumar’s son registered in 2015 is also important. His son had Rs 7,000 in cash. He had more than Rs 80 lakh deposited in his bank and post office accounts.
He also had gold and silver coins worth Rs 10 lakh. There was agricultural land worth Rs 88 lakh in Nalanda in his name. He had registered non-agricultural land worth Rs 3 lakh in Nalanda and Patna. Apart from this, residential buildings worth Rs 67 lakh were also present in Nalanda and Bakhtiyarpur.

Government rule – Disclosure of assets is mandatory every year
According to the rules of Nitish Kumar government, it is mandatory for all ministers to make public the complete details of their assets and liabilities every year on the last day of the calendar year. This rule has been implemented with the aim of maintaining transparency.

As the Bihar Assembly elections are approaching, the political turmoil has intensified and the JVC survey that came in the meantime has further increased the political temperature. In this survey, Grand Alliance’s CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav has emerged as the most liked Chief Minister face, while the current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is left behind in the popularity contest. Prashant Kishore and Chirag Paswan, who are contesting the elections for the first time, have also made their place in the list of people’s choices.

Tejashwi Yadav is at the forefront in CM choice

According to JVC poll, 33% people have chosen Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Minister. After him is Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was liked by 29% people. After this, 10% each considered Chirag Paswan and Prashant Kishore suitable for the post of Chief Minister. 9% people described Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary as their favorite CM.

In the survey, 5% voters believe that some other face from the Grand Alliance can become the Chief Minister, while 4% people expressed confidence in some other BJP leader. According to the report of Times Now, this survey was conducted between October 23 and October 30. During this period, opinions were taken from 32,657 people through both phone calls and direct interviews.

NDA has lead in seat estimates
Popularity may be in favor of Tejashwi Yadav, but NDA is ahead in the probable figures of seats. According to the survey- NDA can get 120 to 140 seats. The grand alliance is expected to have between 93 to 112 seats. The majority figure in Bihar Assembly is 122 seats.

potential seats
NDA-
BJP: 70 to 81 seats, JDU: 42 to 48 seats, LJP (Ram Vilas): 5 to 7 seats.

Grand alliance-
RJD (contesting 143 seats): 69 to 78 seats, Congress: 9 to 17 seats.

Overall, the latest surveys show that while Tejashwi Yadav remains the voters’ first choice for the post of Chief Minister, NDA’s position appears to be stronger in the seat estimates. Although this is just a survey, the picture will be clear only after the results of Bihar assembly elections on November 14.

Nitish kumar delhi tour: Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year. Preparations are going on for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections on some pretext. Somewhere there is a journey, then there are meetings. Amidst all this, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going on a two -day Delhi tour.

According to the information, a big meeting of Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states is going to be held in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to preside over this meeting. In this meeting, the functioning of the Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states will be reviewed.

Feedback will be taken from Chief Ministers

Feedback will be taken from the Chief Ministers on the work being done by the NDA government of the Center. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will go to Delhi tomorrow (May 24, 2025) for this meeting to be held on 25 May.

Earlier, CM Nitish visited a two -day Delhi tour on 16 February. The discussion about the CM’s visit in February was intensified that on February 17, Nitish Kumar would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi but this did not happen. After this, the discussion intensified that PM Modi did not give time to meet.

However, JDU leaders had said that no schedule of meeting PM was of CM. Now when CM Nitish Kumar is going to Delhi again, all political parties will keep an eye on this tour. On the one hand, the opposition is constantly raising questions about the health of Nitish Kumar, while Nitish Kumar’s involvement in this review meeting under the chairmanship of PM will break such discussions. It is believed that there may also be political discussion between the two leaders about the upcoming assembly elections.
