Mrityunjay Tiwari said that BJP has prepared a plan to remove Nitish Kumar from the post of Chief Minister. The same was discussed in the Delhi meeting. Amidst the hijab controversy, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has once again given a big statement regarding Nitish Kumar. On Monday (December 22, 2025), a blanket distribution ceremony was organized by ‘Hum’ party in Gehlaur village of Atari assembly constituency in Gayaji. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi attended it as the chief guest. While addressing the people, she once again commented on the hijab controversy.

Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “Nitish Kumar believes in us wholeheartedly and we also believe in him wholeheartedly. Just a small thing came up… When we were distributing the doctor’s appointment letter, there was a daughter in hijab, so he (Nitish Kumar) pulled down the hijab a little and asked why the daughter is covering her face, you are going to become a doctor… For this, people all over the world are saying that her hijab was pulled, if no one had the courage then Jitan Ram Manjhi has said that he So, he has a daughter and a daughter-in-law… he is 74 years old and if he explains to his daughter, then what is the big deal?”

Claimed to save Nitish from time to time

The Union Minister further said on this, “… So it is worth saying that we give so much protection to Nitish Kumar and the family of the person whose hijab was pulled has also agreed… Her guru has also agreed… This should not be given importance… What a big deal is this… So what it means to say is that from time to time we definitely try to save Nitish Kumar.”

What had Manjhi said on this issue before this?

Let us tell you that Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had earlier also given a statement on the hijab controversy. In his statements, he was seen supporting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has been continuously reacting to the prohibition law implemented in Bihar. After the formation of a new government in the state, once again he is talking a lot about prohibition. On Friday (December 12, 2025), he gave a statement at Patna Airport that the prohibition law is fine but it is also very important to implement it properly, which is not happening.

Manjhi said that the liquor prohibition law is being implemented in two ways in Bihar. Big and rich people are not caught in liquor matters, poor people are caught the most in this matter. He demanded from the government that the government should completely end the liquor cases registered against poor people. Now the question is whether CM Nitish Kumar will agree?

The Union Minister said, “In Bihar, I also come from a family where liquor was made and sold, but I never drank liquor, that is why I am at this stage. A person who drinks liquor becomes a monster.”

He further said, “I have a big hope from Samrat Chaudhary… eliminate the liquor smugglers and start bulldozer action on their property. If Samrat Chaudhary gets a free hand to stop the liquor mafia, it will end.”

On the other hand, on a post by Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya, Manjhi said, “Where is Rohini Acharya’s problem… Rohini Acharya has problems in her own home, daughters in Bihar do not have problems. Bihar government is paying special attention to the safety of girls. Bihar government has said that the criminals will leave Bihar.”

Shivanand Tiwari has raised questions on Tejashwi Yadav going out of Bihar. On this Jitan Ram Manjhi said that I call him Baba. Baba should have taught Tejashwi earlier. Now we are giving lessons when the whole matter is over.

Anant Singh has become MLA from Mokama assembly seat. This time (2025) he contested the elections on JDU ticket. Although he was in jail during the elections. Nitish government has now allotted him a new duplex flat. This residence is in the MLA flat built in the second phase behind the Miller School grounds. Its number is 8/11. Mokama is written in front of the flat and assembly number 178 is written. This house is much smaller than the old bungalow.

RJD’s MLC and Rabri Devi’s mouthpiece Sunil Singh previously lived in the new duplex flat. This house was allotted in his name only. Presently Sunil Singh’s people live here. Convoy of vehicles will not be allowed in the new residence

There are 8 to 10 vehicles in Anant Singh’s convoy and the bungalow which has just been found will not be able to accommodate so many vehicles. There is provision for parking of one car. There is a board of his wife Neelam Devi outside the old bungalow that Anant Singh got in 2005. Because before this his wife Neelam Devi was the MLA of Mokama. When Anant Singh was convicted in the 1-47 case and lost his membership, his wife Neelam Devi won from Mokama in the by-election.

Even at that time, a new residence was allotted to Neelam Devi, but she was living in the old bungalow (on Mall Road). Did not move to new residence. CM Nitish Kumar on Friday (November 28, 2025) sent an amount of Rs 10 thousand each to 10 lakh women beneficiaries under the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana’ from ‘Sankalp’ located at Ane Marg. In this way, an amount of Rs 1000 crore has been sent today through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) at the rate of Rs 10 thousand per beneficiary.

After the formation of the new government in Bihar, the first meeting of Nitish cabinet was held today (Tuesday). Six agendas have been approved in this meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The meeting also focused on employment. Overall, many important agendas have been passed in the public interest. A total of 25 sugar mills will be started in Bihar

In this first cabinet meeting, a big decision has been taken regarding the sugar mill. It has been decided that the closed sugar mills in Bihar will be started. Also new sugar mills will be established. 9 sugar mills are closed in Bihar. Now the government has decided to open a total of 25 (this includes closed mills) sugar mills. Its approval has been received from the cabinet.

On the other hand, under urban development, 11 new satellite/greenfield townships will be constructed in the state for well-planned and quality urban development. Bihar will be developed as the new technology hub of Eastern India. Assembly session will start from December 1

After the formation of the new government, the assembly session is also to continue. Bihar Assembly session will be held from 1st to 5th December. During this, all the newly elected MLAs will be sworn in. There will also be an election for the Assembly Speaker.

With the swearing in of the new NDA government in Bihar, it has become clear which party has got the maximum number of ministerial posts in comparison to its seats. BJP and JD(U) are the largest parties in the NDA alliance which returned to power with 202 seats, but there seems to be an interesting balance between the two in the distribution of ministerial posts. Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time, while BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha became Deputy Chief Ministers.

Talking about ministerial posts, JDU has got a total of nine posts including the Chief Minister. Apart from Nitish Kumar, JDU’s Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Vijendra Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Leshi Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Madan Sahni, Sunil Kumar and Mohammad Jama Khan have been made ministers. JDU has been given a balanced and adequate representation as per its proportion of seats.

Most ministers from BJP quota?
BJP has got two Deputy Chief Ministers and apart from this, twelve more leaders have been made ministers. These include Mangal Pandey, Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Roshan, Shreyasi Singh and Pramod Kumar. In this way, BJP got a total of 14 ministerial posts, which is more than JDU in number, but considering BJP’s seat count (89), its minister per seat ratio is slightly less than JDU.

Even small parties are in trouble
LJP (Ram Vilas) has secured two ministerial posts despite only 19 seats, which is considered a strong bargain compared to its size. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM has five seats and has got one ministerial post, which is considered a good representation for a small party. Similarly, RLM has four seats and has also got a ministerial post.
