Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi spoke on several issues in Gayaji on Sunday (November 9). He claimed that the women of Bihar have clearly voted in favor of NDA. Manjhi told IANS that the improvement seen in roads, electricity, education and health in Bihar today is the result of the long-term plans of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Responding to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Manjhi said, “He gives the slogan of ‘change-change’ in his style, but the question is, what change is he talking about? Earlier it used to take four hours to go from Gayaji to Patna, today the same journey is completed in one and a half hours. Is this not a change?”

‘Earlier 7 hours, now electricity is available for 23 to 24 hours’

He further said that earlier only 700 MW electricity was available in Bihar and today up to 8,500 MW is being supplied. Earlier electricity was available for 7 hours, now it is available for 23 to 24 hours. Both children and teachers are present in schools and there are doctors and medicines in health centres. Manjhi sarcastically said that earlier donkeys and dogs used to sit in hospitals.

‘This is why women are voting in favor of NDA’

He said, “First of all, girls were given cycle and dress scheme in Bihar. Now the same girls are seen in police and panchayats. Women got reservation in the third level panchayat elections, there is 35 percent reservation in police. This is the reason why women are voting in favor of NDA.” He said that the turnout of women has clearly been in favor of NDA.

Regarding the voting on 121 seats in the first phase, he said that we understand that NDA’s victory is certain in 80 to 101 seats and in the second phase on November 11, NDA’s victory is certain in about 80 to 101 seats. In such a situation, victory on 160 seats is certain.

In the public meeting held in Arrah before the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big message regarding the election manifesto of NDA and the development of Bihar. He said that people sitting in Delhi are not able to understand the direction of the wind, the people of Bihar are with NDA. PM Modi said that 1 crore new jobs will be provided by next year and a complete blueprint has been prepared for this.

PM Modi said that Rs 10,000 each have been sent to the accounts of 1.30 crore women and this help will be increased further as soon as the NDA government is formed. Taking aim at the opposition, he said, “On one side is the honest manifesto of NDA and on the other is the bundle of lies of the Grand Alliance.”

He appealed to the public that Bihar has to be saved from Jungle Raj and NDA government has to be formed once again. He further said, “Developed Bihar is the basis of developed India and for this I have come to seek your support.”

PM Modi further said, “Bihar is one of the states with the largest youth population in the country, hence NDA is laying a lot of emphasis on education and skills in Bihar. Our resolve is that the youth of Bihar will work in Bihar only, will make the name of Bihar. For this, we have announced to provide one crore jobs in the coming years and this is not just an announcement, how it will happen, its plan has also been put before the public.”

He further said, “Today there is a lot of enthusiasm in the world about Make in India. Our aim is to make Bihar the center of Made in India. For this we will strengthen the network of thousands of small and cottage industries.”

PM Modi took a jibe at RJD

Taking a jibe at RJD, PM Modi said, “The things that identify RJD’s Jungle Raj are harshness, cruelty, bitterness, bad culture, bad governance and corruption.” He further said, “There is a fight between RJD and Congress. After the elections, they will butt heads with each other. Congress never wanted an RJD leader to hold the post of CM.

The Prime Minister said, “Modi had given the guarantee of removing Article 370 and he fulfilled it. Today the Constitution of India is in force in Jammu and Kashmir.” He also reiterated the promise of One Rank One Pension.

On the economic front, Modi said, “So far 60 lakh poor families have been given permanent houses in Bihar. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers will now get Rs 9,000 annually.” He claimed, “One crore jobs will be provided in the coming year, the plan for which has been placed before the public.”
