Now salary will be received on the first day of every month. The Education Department issued the Standard Operating System (SOP) related to this on Monday (December 08, 2025).

Letter sent to DEO and DPO

The department clarified that the salaries of Sanskrit and Madrasa teachers and night guards, who receive salaries from the state fund, will also be paid on one date only. Director of Primary Education Sahila has sent a letter in this regard to all the District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Program Officers (DPOs).

According to the SOP, for payment of salaries of regular teachers on the old pay scale, the Block Education Officer will submit the absence statements of teachers to the District Education Officer’s office from 20th to 25th of every month. District Program Officer (Establishment) will prepare the salary bill by 25th and submit it to the treasury on 26th. The treasury officer will approve it by 30th and the salary amount will be sent to the teachers’ account on the 1st.

As per the instructions of the Education Department, the same process will be applicable for employed teachers who receive salary from the state treasury. Their salary bills will be prepared by 25th and sent to the treasury on 26th, which will be approved by 30th. The District Education Office will prepare the advisory to be sent to the bank between 26th to 29th, which will be sent to the bank by 30th. The salary amount will reach the teachers’ account on the first date.

Salary payment process will be transparent with the new SOP

Absence returns will be submitted from 20th to 22nd for employed teachers receiving salary from Samagra Shiksha Fund and graduate trained teachers on regular pay scale. ‘Bank advice’ will be prepared between 25th and 28th and sent to the bank by 29th. Salary will be deposited in their account on one date. A similar procedure will be adopted for teachers of minority, madrasa and Sanskrit schools who receive salaries from the state fund. The process of payment of salaries to night guards will also be on similar lines. The Education Department believes that the salary payment process will be more timely and transparent with the new SOP.

Bihar 10225 Teacher Transfer List: In Bihar, about one lakh 90 thousand teachers applied for transfer. Now before the assembly elections in Bihar, the Nitish government has shown kindness on teachers. The list of 10 thousand 225 teachers has been released by the Education Department on Monday (March 24, 2025). However, teachers inside the districts have not been transferred yet.

In the first phase, the transfer application of teachers suffering from incurable diseases of various categories was considered, under which the application of 47 regular teachers was disposed of on the dated-10.01.2025 in the past. After this, the application of 260 teachers suffering from incurable disease appointed from Bihar Public Service Commission (TRE-1 and TRE-2) was settled on 25 February 2025.

According to the list released by the Education Department, 113 male teachers suffering from incurable disease (cancer) applied. At the same time, 113 women teachers also applied for transfer. In this way, the Education Department has accepted the application of a total of 226 teachers suffering from incurable disease.

At the same time, 495 male teachers suffering from serious disease (kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease) applied while 442 teachers applied. In this way, teachers suffering from a total of 937 serious diseases have been transferred. On the basis of disability, 2065 male teachers appointed themselves applied. At the same time, 620 women teachers applied. The education department has accepted and transferred all these applications.

280 male and 293 female teachers applied under autism/mental disability (self/husband/wife/children). The transfer of all these has been approved. At the same time, 516 women teachers have been transferred on the basis of widow and abandoned. Based on the posting of the husband, 5288 women teachers applied and everyone has been accepted.
