Tarapur seat has become a matter of prestige for Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. His competition is with RJD’s Arun Kumar Sah. Santosh Kumar Singh of Jan Suraj is also in the fray.

If we talk about the 10 VIP seats in the first phase, the biggest names in it are that of Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav and Samrat Chaudhary.

In the first phase of elections, 11 BJP ministers Mangal Pandey (Siwan), Nitin Naveen (Bankipur), Samrat Chaudhary (Tarapur), Vijay Sinha (Lakhisarai), Jivesh Mishra (Jale), Sanjay Saraogi (Darbhanga Urban) are included. Five JDU ministers, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary (Sarai Ranjan), Shravan Kumar (Nalanda), Madan Sahni (Bahadurpur) and Maheshwar Hazari (Kalyanpur) are also in the fray.

Tejashwi Yadav is contesting elections for the third time from RJD’s traditional seat Raghopur. NDA’s Satish Yadav is challenging him.

Mokama seat is in headlines due to the fight between two strongmen. JDU’s Anant Singh is facing RJD candidate Veena Devi (wife of Surajbhan Singh).

Popular singer Maithili Thakur is BJP candidate from Alinagar. His contest is against RJD’s Vinod Mishra.

Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav is contesting from Chapra on behalf of RJD. He is facing competition from BJP’s Chhoti Kumari and independent Rakhi Gupta.

Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha has been winning from Lakhisarai continuously since 2010. Amresh Kumar of Congress is challenging him.

Tej Pratap Yadav has separated from RJD and is contesting from Mahua. His competition is with RJD’s Mukesh Roshan and LJP’s Sanjay Singh.

Begusarai seat has earlier been a stronghold of the Left. Now the contest is between Kundan Kumar of BJP and Amita Bhushan of Congress.

BJP’s Nitin Naveen is continuously winning from the prestigious seat of Bankipur in Patna. This time RJD’s Rekha Gupta is giving him competition.

BJP minister Sanjay Saraogi is in the fray from Darbhanga. Former IPS RK Mishra of Jan Suraj and Umesh Sahni of VIP are also making the election interesting.
