The results of Bihar Assembly have once again proved that as long as Nitish Kumar is active in politics, it is not so easy to defeat him. Nitish Kumar, whom the leaders of the opposition Grand Alliance had described as mentally ill, was defeated in such a way that Tejashwi Yadav lost his temper. This time, double ‘M’ has proved to be a big X factor in the election strategy adopted by Nitish.

Which move did Nitish play?
Double ‘M’ has played a big role in the return of NDA in Bihar. Nitish Kumar had understood the importance of this factor long ago, the result of which was prohibition of liquor in Bihar. The effect of this decision was that to strengthen his ‘M’ factor, Nitish launched the Women’s Employment Scheme and a woman from the family was given Rs 10,000 each to start a business. When their initial business is successful, they will be given further assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh.

Has Nitish gone one step ahead of BJP?
If we look at the last few elections, women are voting more than men. This election is also being said to be no different. BJP had adopted the formula in many states, including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Haryana, where money was deposited in the accounts of women before the elections. Nitish went one step further on this formula of BJP and deposited Rs 10,000 in the accounts of women at once. His decision distanced the women of the state from Lalu’s lantern and shattered Tejashwi’s dreams of becoming the CM.

Not only this, it is also being said that Nitish Kumar has also weakened the second ‘M’ factor of RJD i.e. Muslims. At some places, Muslims got away from RJD by voting and they went to JDU’s account, that is, RJD has got a double blow of ‘M’. On one hand women stayed away and on the other hand Muslims also stayed away.

Nitish had started his move 20 years ago!
When Nitish became the Chief Minister of Bihar for the first time in 2005, he started keeping an eye on his vote bank and started strengthening his ‘M’ factor to counter the ‘M’ factor of RJD. For the first time, only after forming the government, he started the scheme of giving bicycles to school going girls. After this, he started liquor ban in the state in the year 2016, which was also criticized a lot.

When Nitish started feeling that the effect of prohibition was beginning to reduce, he implemented 50 percent reservation for women in local bodies. Apart from this, 35 percent reservation was given in government jobs. His move turned women away from RJD and Congress and now just before the elections, his move to give Rs 10,000 each in women’s accounts has worked wonders. Although Tejashwi Yadav had also promised to give 30-30 thousand rupees in the accounts of women after the formation of the government, but the women expressed their trust only on Nitish Kumar.

Which party got how many seats?

BJP has won 89 seats and JDU has won 85 seats, while RJD has won 25 seats and Chirag Paswan’s party has won 19 seats. The worst situation has happened to Congress, which has been able to win only six seats. The left parties have also been wiped out. However, Owaisi’s party AIMIM has repeated its old performance. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party has won five seats, Upendra Kushwaha’s party four, left parties together have won four seats.

Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha is a candidate from Lakhisarai seat. On Thursday, when he was in his area, his convoy was attacked. His car was surrounded and slogans of ‘Murdabad’ were raised along with slippers. People stopped him from moving forward. Vijay Kumar Sinha was in Khoriyari village of his constituency. An altercation took place between him and RJD MLC Ajay Singh in Lakhisarai itself.

Which leader said what on the first phase of elections?

Samrat Chaudhary: “I would like to thank the administration of Bihar, the people of Bihar and the Election Commission for the peaceful voting. The way the common voters of Bihar are coming out and voting, it is clearly visible that there has been 4-5% more voting in this election than the last election. The report that has come from our representatives after the first phase, out of 121 seats, NDA is winning around 100 seats and this is going to break the results of 2010.”

Vijay Kumar Sinha: “People have faith in the double engine government. NDA government will be formed again. Lakhisarai was made a hot seat. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav had said that take it in writing that Vijay Sinha will not win from here. Some people had made it a reputation to which the public has responded.”

Chirag Paswan: “…the way the trends are coming, one thing is clear in which there is not even an iota of doubt that after the results on 14th, NDA government is going to be formed in Bihar once again.”

Tej Pratap Yadav: “…In a democracy, the public is the master. The love and blessings of parents have their place… We will support whoever does good work. We have full faith…”

Mukesh Sahni: “There is a wave of change in Bihar. Bumper voting is taking place. I am hopeful that there will be change in Bihar. A grand alliance government will be formed.”

Akhilesh Prasad Singh: “The grand alliance is going to form the government with two-thirds majority. I had already said that Bihar is going to give shocking results and the kind of news coming today makes it clear that there is a change in power…”

Tejashwi Yadav: “A new government is going to be formed on November 14.”

Lalu Yadav (ex post): “The roti should be kept turning from the pan, otherwise it will burn.”

Upendra Kushwaha: “…From the news that is being received from Bihar, it is clear that NDA is going to have a huge victory this time in entire Bihar.”

Prashant Kishore: “The highest turnout in the last 30 years is an indication that change is coming in Bihar. A new system is going to be established on November 14…”

Khesari Lal Yadav: “I am happy that there was such a huge turnout. People are voting for the future of their children. May God provide better education and employment to the coming generation.”

Let us tell you that last time 55.81 percent voting took place on these 121 seats.
The respective claims of the leaders of the Grand Alliance

On the other hand, the leaders of the Grand Alliance have their own claims. Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary MA Baby on Thursday (November 06, 2025) said that the Grand Alliance’s campaign has received an overwhelming response from the people of Bihar and expressed confidence that the people, especially the youth, will reject the ‘politics of hate’.

The CPI(M) general secretary said in a post on ‘X’ that the opposition alliance has raised the issues of people’s welfare and livelihood. Baby said, “The Grand Alliance campaign has received an overwhelming response from the people of Bihar. We have been successful in bringing to the fore the issues of people’s welfare and livelihood.”

Mukesh Sahni said – there will be change in Bihar

Regarding the first phase of voting, VIP supremo Mukesh Sahni said that there is a wave of change in Bihar. We have received information that bumper voting has taken place. I hope that this time there will be a change in entire Bihar and a grand alliance government will be formed.

Samrat claimed victory on more than 100 seats

BJP leader and Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary thanked for the high turnout in the first phase. He said that the report has come that out of 121 seats, NDA is winning about 100 seats. Just as no one from the Lalu family came out victorious in 2010, this time also no one from the Lalu family is going to win.

In the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections, the election campaign will stop on Tuesday evening (November 4) in 121 assembly seats of 18 districts. On the last day of the election campaign, senior party leaders are putting in all their strength. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Lakhisarai in Bihar on Tuesday. Yogi Adityanath addressed the election rally in favor of Bharatiya Janata Party and NDA.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “…who can know the value of vermillion more than Lakhisarai? Prime Minister Modi launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ to protect vermillion and the guns and missiles used against the enemies of India’s sisters were made by us in Lucknow…”

CM Yogi explained the difference between ‘Jungleraj and good governance’

Yogi Adityanath said, “This is the difference between ‘Jungle Raj’ and good governance. Earlier, the youth of Bihar had to face identity crisis and welfare schemes for the poor were not implemented. Development work was not visible inside Bihar.”

‘RJD and Congress misused money’

The Chief Minister of UP said, “The leaders of RJD and Congress used to misuse money inspired by the politics of nepotism and dynasty… The people of Bihar, the youth were facing job crisis. The citizens were facing livelihood crisis. Farmers and food providers were forced to migrate. Workers were wandering. Traders were unsafe. The honor of sister and daughter was at stake.”

He said, “In 2005, the youth, farmers and citizens of Bihar supported a strong NDA government led by Nitish Kumar ji. For more than 20 years, his leadership laid the foundation for direct development in Bihar…” Yogi Adityanath said, continuous work has been going on inside Bihar in the last five years. There is road and rail connectivity, airports are being built. If Bihar’s production goes to the global market, the farmers and traders here will earn more profits.

‘Those who looted Bihar want to bring Jungle Raj’

Addressing a public meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “NDA will bring good governance and development, but jungle raj and goonda raj are the identity of Congress-RJD. Those who looted Bihar, who are family robbers, today want to bring jungle raj back in Bihar by making the family mafias their disciples…”

There is a lot of excitement regarding Bihar elections (2025). There is a lot of rhetoric going on in the political circles. National President of Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav is contesting from Mahua seat this time. He has previously been an MLA from Mahua, but this time he will fight against RJD candidate Mukesh Roshan. Mukesh Roshan is currently the MLA from this seat from RJD. Tejashwi Yadav has held a meeting in support of Mukesh Roshan and against his brother Tej Pratap. Mukesh has demanded the victory of Roshan. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap Yadav has called Tejashwi Yadav a ‘child’.

‘…then let me do it, he is still a child ugh’

During the conversation, journalists told Tej Pratap on Tuesday (November 04, 2025) that your mother and sister are blessing you, but brother (Tejashwi Yadav) is campaigning against you. On this, Tej Pratap Yadav said, “… then let it be done, he is still a child… we will give him a rattling after the elections.”

Journalists said that Lalu Yadav campaigned in support of Ritlal Yadav yesterday (Monday). On this Tej Pratap said, “When they went to our area, we also went to their area.
Mountain man Dashrath Manjhi had made a path by cutting the mountain. Today he is discussed across the country but his son Bhagirath Manjhi has been betrayed. He was hopeful that he would get a ticket from Congress in the assembly elections but it could not happen. After not getting the ticket, not only Bhagirath Manjhi but also the rest of the family is angry.

Bhagirath Manjhi’s son-in-law Mithun Manjhi said on Tuesday (October 21, 2025) that all political parties and leaders remember Mahadalit at the time of elections. From protests to demonstrations, people from Mahadalit families carry the bags and flags of political parties. Just use vote. He made a big demand from Congress. Said that if he does not get the ticket for the assembly elections, then Rahul Gandhi is requested to pay a true tribute to Dashrath Manjhi by becoming MLC.

Everyone worked to cheat: Bhagirath Manjhi

Mountain Man’s son Bhagirath Manjhi is also angry over not getting the ticket. He said that everyone in the Delhi Congress office had assured that the ticket would be given. Now the seats have been divided. There was talk of ticket during the meeting with Rahul Gandhi in Patna. Rahul Gandhi had also asked whether he would contest the elections. When called, he went to Delhi. Was preparing to contest elections from Barachatti. If Rahul Gandhi had been attentive, he would have got the ticket. Everyone did the work of cheating.

Let us tell you that in June this year (2025), Rahul Gandhi had gone to Dashrath Manjhi’s house and met the family. There was news that at that time Rahul Gandhi had promised to give ticket to Bhagirath Manjhi. Bhagirath Manjhi also reached Delhi for the ticket but he did not meet Rahul Gandhi. The leaders there told in the Congress office that if Barachatti reserved assembly seat of Gayaji district comes in seat sharing, then he (Bhagirath Manjhi) will be made the candidate from Congress. Later it was told that the ticket was in RJD’s account. According to him, he was in Delhi Congress office for 4 days but only assurances were received.

Preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Bihar are in full swing. This time there is great news not only for the voters but also for the employees engaged in election duty. Especially for Class IV employees, the government has taken such a decision, knowing which will bring a smile on their faces.

Till now, Class IV employees engaged in election duty used to get an allowance of Rs 200 per day, but this time the true value of their hard work has been fixed. The state government has announced that now these employees will be given Rs 350 per day or a lump sum of Rs 1400. This means that now they will get almost double the payment compared to before.

Who are Class IV employees?

Class IV employees are those who are engaged in various important tasks during elections – like maintaining order at polling stations, delivering material, handling documents and running the voting process smoothly. Even though these employees work behind the scenes, their role is very important in making the elections successful.

Their important role in election duty

During elections, along with administrative and security personnel, class IV employees are the ones who handle all the work at the ground level. They remain present at the polling stations from morning till late night so that every process is completed properly. From taking care of the voting machines (EVMs) to cleaning the polling stations and helping the voters, these employees perform responsibilities at every step.

What did the Election Commission say?

The Commission has said that this change is an important step towards giving appropriate compensation to the employees deployed on election duty for their hard work. The objective of the Commission is that the employees who work with full devotion in the election process should get the right value for their hard work. This decision will boost the morale of the employees and they will do their work with more dedication.
