Flood in Falgu River: With the knock of monsoon in Bihar, while people have got relief from the heat on the one hand, on the other hand, heavy rains have created a disaster. Especially in Gaya district, the water level of Falgu river suddenly increased due to two days of rains.

The water of the river started flowing as a flood, causing many people to be trapped on the eastern coast. Seeing the situation serious, the administration deployed the teams of NDRF on the spot and all the people were taken out safely through the boat.

Both tributaries of Falgu River are in spate
Both tributaries of Falgu River- Mahatma River and Lokayik River have also come in spate due to strong current. The water level has reached above the danger mark, which has created flood -like conditions in the surrounding areas. The embankments have been broken at three places in Daniyawan block of Patna district and two places in Fatuhan block. Due to this, the fields of many villages have been submerged and paddy cultivation has suffered heavy damage. The middle has drowned in many acres, which has increased the concern of the farmers.

Water entered into slums
The effect of rain is not only limited to the fields, but the lives of people settled in low-lying areas have also become disturbed. Water has entered the slums, due to which poor families are facing a lot of trouble. However, it is a matter of relief that the administration is constantly monitoring the situation and is preparing to send a special team on the spot if needed. Special teams can be sent there on order to see the status of Daniwan and Fatuhan, although this area is about 30 km from urban Patna and coverage may take a full day.
