The political temperature has risen regarding ‘Bihar Niwas’ located in Delhi. RJD alleges that to remove the name of Lalu Yadav, the government will demolish ‘Bihar Niwas’ and build a new building there. RJD has termed the decision to demolish ‘Bihar Niwas’ and construct a new building as a political conspiracy.

RJD’s chief spokesperson Shakti Yadav says that Lalu’s name is written on the stone slab in ‘Bihar Niwas’, hence it will be demolished and a new building will be built there. This is happening due to the frustrated mentality of Nitish government and jealousy towards RJD and Lalu. This building was built in the year 1994, when Lalu Prasad used to be the Chief Minister. A new building will be built to fill the pockets of favorite contractors, while recently ‘Bihar Niwas’ has been beautified by spending Rs 2 crore. This building can remain standing firmly for the next 50-60 years. Due to being at a height, there is no problem of water logging here.

He said that the condition of ‘Bihar Bhawan’ located in Delhi, which was built by him, is dilapidated. Water drips. No one wants to live there, but the government is not trying to do so because Lalu Yadav’s name is not written there. Today Bihar is in debt of more than Rs 3 lakh crore. Where is the justice in wasting the hard earned money of such a poor state just to satisfy one’s jealousy?

‘You can demolish the building, but…’

Shakti Yadav said, “More than Rs 500 crore is being wasted by razing a grand, beautiful and strong building just so that Nitish ji can make his name shine. Nitish ji, you can demolish the building, remove the stone slab, but the work done by Lalu Prasad Yadav for social justice and upliftment of the poor cannot be erased from the history and hearts of the people of Bihar.”

JDU said- What is the problem in this?

On this entire controversy, JDU gave reply to RJD. JDU’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that the stigma can neither be erased nor washed away. As per technical requirement, Bihar Niwas will be demolished and rebuilt. What’s the problem with this?
