Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission i.e. BPSSC has started the application process for recruitment to the posts of Havildar Clerk in Bihar Police. This process has been started by the Commission today from 2nd January. In such a situation, this is a golden opportunity for the candidates who were dreaming of working in the police department for a long time.

Under this recruitment drive, Havildar Clerk will be appointed on a total of 64 posts. Who can apply

For this recruitment, some important conditions related to the age and education of the candidate have been fixed. Age will be calculated on the basis of 1st August 2025. To apply for the post of Havildar Clerk, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 12th from a recognized board or institute. That means intermediate pass candidates can apply for this recruitment. How will the candidates be selected?

In this recruitment of BPSSC, the selection of candidates will be done in two phases. In the first phase, there will be a written examination and in the second phase, Physical Efficiency Test i.e. PET will be conducted. Only the candidates who pass the written examination will be called for physical examination.

The written examination will be of total 100 marks. 100 multiple choice questions will be asked in this. Questions will be of class 10th level. The exam will include subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, General Knowledge and Current Affairs. The Commission has made it clear that it will be necessary to score at least 30 percent marks in the written examination. Candidates who score less than this will not be considered eligible for the physical examination.

Physical efficiency test will also be of 100 marks. This includes running, shot put and high jump. Male candidates will have to complete a run of 1.6 kilometers within 6 minutes. Whereas female candidates will have to run 1 kilometer in 5 minutes.

Apart from this, 25 points have been fixed for shot put and 25 points for high jump. Candidates who perform well in the physical examination can be assured of a place in the selection list. Therefore, candidates should also pay attention to their fitness from now on.

All the candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay the application fee. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 100. Fees will be paid through online mode. The application process will not be considered complete without depositing the fee.

The Central Selection Board (CSBC) has issued a notification for recruitment of 4361 posts of driver constable in Bihar Police. These appointments will be made in various districts, units and special armed police forces of Bihar Police. Online applications for this recruitment process will start from 21 July 2025, and interested candidates will be able to apply by 20 August 2025.

Candidates applying for these posts must have at least 10th or 12th pass. Also, they should have at least 1 year experience of driving light or heavy motor vehicles. Talking about physical standards, the minimum height of male candidates should be 165 cm, chest 81 cm (without inflated) and 86 cm (after inflating).

Age limit

Talking about the age limit, the minimum age has been fixed at 20 years. The maximum age of general class candidates has been fixed at 25 years, 27 years of OBC, 28 years of OBC woman, and 30 years of SC/ST class. Age will be calculated on the basis of date of birth recorded in the 10th grade certificate.

How much salary?

Candidates selected under this recruitment will get monthly salary from 21,700 to 69,100. This pay scale has been decided according to the Seventh Pay Commission.

Candidates will have to pay the application fee. For the application, the original residents of SC/ST and Bihar will have to pay a fee of Rs 180. While all others will have to pay a fee of Rs 675.

Now talk about the selection process. Candidates will be selected in four stages.
