Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has been continuously reacting to the prohibition law implemented in Bihar. After the formation of a new government in the state, once again he is talking a lot about prohibition. On Friday (December 12, 2025), he gave a statement at Patna Airport that the prohibition law is fine but it is also very important to implement it properly, which is not happening.

Manjhi said that the liquor prohibition law is being implemented in two ways in Bihar. Big and rich people are not caught in liquor matters, poor people are caught the most in this matter. He demanded from the government that the government should completely end the liquor cases registered against poor people. Now the question is whether CM Nitish Kumar will agree?

The Union Minister said, “In Bihar, I also come from a family where liquor was made and sold, but I never drank liquor, that is why I am at this stage. A person who drinks liquor becomes a monster.”

He further said, “I have a big hope from Samrat Chaudhary… eliminate the liquor smugglers and start bulldozer action on their property. If Samrat Chaudhary gets a free hand to stop the liquor mafia, it will end.”

Also reacted to Rohini Acharya’s X post

On the other hand, on a post by Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya, Manjhi said, “Where is Rohini Acharya’s problem… Rohini Acharya has problems in her own home, daughters in Bihar do not have problems. Bihar government is paying special attention to the safety of girls. Bihar government has said that the criminals will leave Bihar.”

Shivanand Tiwari has raised questions on Tejashwi Yadav going out of Bihar. On this Jitan Ram Manjhi said that I call him Baba. Baba should have taught Tejashwi earlier. Now we are giving lessons when the whole matter is over.
