Bihar Public Service Commission has recruited 590 posts of Principal and Associate Professor in Engineering and Polytechnic colleges, so those who are interested candidates can apply online from 18 August to 12 September 2025. According to the notification, PhD and teaching/research experience is necessary. You can apply on the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in.

Under this recruitment, a total of 564 posts of Principal and Associate Professor will be recruited in the state. Of these, 539 posts are reserved for Associate Professor and 25 posts are reserved for principal. Let’s know who can apply for these posts.

Essential educational qualification

The candidate should have a PhD in the concerned subject and a minimum of 8 -year teaching or research experience is required, as well as special importance in the selection process to subject experts, research work and educational achievements. For the post of Principal, the candidate should have PhD and at least 15 years of experience in the concerned engineering branch, which may be in teaching, research or industry. This experience will be helpful in implementing the educational, administrative and development works of the institute effectively.

Age limit
The minimum age of the applicant should be 31 years. The maximum age limit is fixed at 65 years according to the post. The maximum age will be given to the reserved category candidates under the government rules. The calculation of the age will be according to the date specified in the advertisement.

General Women Candidates – Maximum age 40 years
OBC (male/female) – 40 years
SC/ST (Male/Female) – 42 years

How will the selection be?

Candidates will be selected on the basis of three stages-

Educational Qualification – 60 marks
Work Experience – 15 Points
Interview – 25 points
The final selection list will be prepared based on the total marks of these three.
