There are preparations for a demonstration in Patna today (Wednesday) regarding the advertisement of BPSC fourth phase teacher recruitment examination (TRE-4). Meanwhile, the police has taken major action in Patna. Police have detained student leader Khushboo Pathak in Bihta.

The march of teacher candidates is to start from Patna College to BPSC office. Meanwhile, through such action, an attempt is being made to send a message that the police do not want to allow any kind of uproar.

It is said that the female candidate was going to protest with a rolling pin and plate. The demonstration was led by both student leaders Saurav and Khushboo Pathak. According to the information, Khushboo was coming from Arrah, during this time she was stopped at Bihta itself. The police has taken him to Bihta police station.

Education Minister said – schedule is about to be released

On the student leader being detained amid the TRE-4 protest, Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said that for the last three-four days we have been appealing to all the candidates and we have said that we are serious about this. Our Chief Minister has given instructions to the Education Department, the Education Department is busy in preparations. We are going to release the schedule after talking to BPSC.

He said, “…What we are saying is that the candidates should prepare for the examination because their examination is going to be held soon in the coming days. There is no use in agitating. Under Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), teachers have been recruited in three phases in the state. Now restoration is to be done under TRE-4. Candidates were waiting for this for many months. TRE-4 not mentioned in BPSC calendar

Let us tell you that last Wednesday (February 04, 2026) teacher candidates had created a ruckus in Patna. They said that there is no mention of TRE-4 in BPSC’s calendar 2026 whereas Education Minister Sunil Kumar had said that the advertisement will be released by the end of January. Amidst this protest, teacher recruitment has been announced today (Thursday).

On the other hand, under the Right to Education Act (RTE), the last date for online registration for enrollment in Class-1 in private schools has now been extended to 15th February. Earlier this date was fixed as 31 January. Parents will now be able to apply on Gyandeep portal till 15th February.

According to the newly determined schedule, verification of the applications received will be done by 18th February, while online school allotment of the verified students will be done on 23rd February. Enrollment of selected students will be done in the respective schools from 24th February to 10th March. The Education Department has appealed to all the parents to register within the stipulated period and provide their children with the benefit of this opportunity of free and compulsory education.

Nitish government has taken a big decision in the interest of teachers of Bihar. Now they will get their salary on time. The date has been fixed for this. Now salary will be received on the first day of every month. The Education Department issued the Standard Operating System (SOP) related to this on Monday (December 08, 2025).

Letter sent to DEO and DPO

The department clarified that the salaries of Sanskrit and Madrasa teachers and night guards, who receive salaries from the state fund, will also be paid on one date only. Director of Primary Education Sahila has sent a letter in this regard to all the District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Program Officers (DPOs).

According to the SOP, for payment of salaries of regular teachers on the old pay scale, the Block Education Officer will submit the absence statements of teachers to the District Education Officer’s office from 20th to 25th of every month. District Program Officer (Establishment) will prepare the salary bill by 25th and submit it to the treasury on 26th. The treasury officer will approve it by 30th and the salary amount will be sent to the teachers’ account on the 1st.

As per the instructions of the Education Department, the same process will be applicable for employed teachers who receive salary from the state treasury. Their salary bills will be prepared by 25th and sent to the treasury on 26th, which will be approved by 30th. The District Education Office will prepare the advisory to be sent to the bank between 26th to 29th, which will be sent to the bank by 30th. The salary amount will reach the teachers’ account on the first date.

Salary payment process will be transparent with the new SOP

Absence returns will be submitted from 20th to 22nd for employed teachers receiving salary from Samagra Shiksha Fund and graduate trained teachers on regular pay scale. ‘Bank advice’ will be prepared between 25th and 28th and sent to the bank by 29th. Salary will be deposited in their account on one date. A similar procedure will be adopted for teachers of minority, madrasa and Sanskrit schools who receive salaries from the state fund. The process of payment of salaries to night guards will also be on similar lines. The Education Department believes that the salary payment process will be more timely and transparent with the new SOP.

The fourth phase (TRE-4) teacher is to be reinstated in Bihar. The big news related to it is that the date of the exam was released on Tuesday (September 02, 2025). According to the information that has come out, the examination will be held from December 16 to 19. Next year (2026) The result of TRE-4 will come from 20 to 24 January.

Now clear the way for the option of three districts

It may be noted that in the last few months in Bihar, teachers have been restored in three phases. Now there are many teachers who want transfer. In such a situation, applications were also being taken by the Education Department for this. The problem continued to come between all this. However, many teachers have also had a mutual transfer. Now Nitish Kumar’s tweet has cleared the way for the option of three districts to the teachers. It means that teachers can choose the option of three districts in the application. They will be transferred to these districts.

Preparations for TRE-4 and TRE-5 are being done

Bihar 10225 Teacher Transfer List: In Bihar, about one lakh 90 thousand teachers applied for transfer. Now before the assembly elections in Bihar, the Nitish government has shown kindness on teachers. The list of 10 thousand 225 teachers has been released by the Education Department on Monday (March 24, 2025). However, teachers inside the districts have not been transferred yet.

On the other hand, the school allocation has not been allocated for the 10 thousand 225 teachers who have been transferred. Only the district has been allotted. In fact, applications were sought on e-education portal for transfer from teachers/teachers suffering from special problems. About 1,90,000 teachers applied in the stipulated period. Out of this, 51,284 teachers have applied for inter -district transfer.

In the first phase, the transfer application of teachers suffering from incurable diseases of various categories was considered, under which the application of 47 regular teachers was disposed of on the dated-10.01.2025 in the past. After this, the application of 260 teachers suffering from incurable disease appointed from Bihar Public Service Commission (TRE-1 and TRE-2) was settled on 25 February 2025.

See how many teachers transferred under the circumstances

According to the list released by the Education Department, 113 male teachers suffering from incurable disease (cancer) applied. At the same time, 113 women teachers also applied for transfer. In this way, the Education Department has accepted the application of a total of 226 teachers suffering from incurable disease.

At the same time, 495 male teachers suffering from serious disease (kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease) applied while 442 teachers applied. In this way, teachers suffering from a total of 937 serious diseases have been transferred. On the basis of disability, 2065 male teachers appointed themselves applied. At the same time, 620 women teachers applied. The education department has accepted and transferred all these applications.

280 male and 293 female teachers applied under autism/mental disability (self/husband/wife/children). The transfer of all these has been approved. At the same time, 516 women teachers have been transferred on the basis of widow and abandoned. Based on the posting of the husband, 5288 women teachers applied and everyone has been accepted.
