A big relief news has emerged for lakhs of candidates preparing for teacher recruitment in Bihar. Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has given a big statement regarding the fourth phase teacher recruitment examination of BPSC i.e. TRE 4. He has clearly said that the official notification of TRE 4 will be issued in the coming month of July. This announcement is considered very important for the candidates who have been waiting for the recruitment advertisement for a long time. The special thing is that this time the domicile policy will also be implemented in the recruitment process, due to which the original residents of Bihar are expected to get direct benefits.

TRE 4 notification will be released in July

Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said that the Bihar government is committed to a transparent recruitment process on a large scale. He said that currently preparations are going on at the department level and all important information related to recruitment will be made public as soon as the notification is issued in July. In this, the total number of vacant posts will also become clear. However, the government has not yet made an official announcement regarding the number of posts.

Candidates were waiting for a long time

Candidates were agitating for a long time regarding TRE 4 recruitment. Many student organizations and teacher candidates were continuously raising the demand for issuing recruitment advertisements. During this period, protests took place at many places. On some occasions, there were reports of clashes between the police and the protesters. The candidates said that the government should start the recruitment process as soon as possible so that the youth can get employment opportunities.

A big meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Recently an important meeting was also organized at the Chief Minister’s residence regarding TRE 4 recruitment. Officials of the Education Department, Bihar Public Service Commission and General Administration Department were present in the meeting along with Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari. In this meeting, teacher recruitment examination, the process of issuing notifications and other administrative aspects were discussed in detail. It is believed that after this meeting, a decision was taken to speed up the recruitment process.

Candidates demanding 1.25 lakh posts

Teacher candidates are demanding that the government should recruit about 1.25 lakh posts under TRE 4. However, at present the minister has not given any clear information on the number of posts. He said that all the figures and vacancies will be revealed at the time of release of the notification. In such a situation, the eyes of the candidates are now fixed on the month of July.

Which posts will be recruited

Through TRE 4 recruitment examination, teachers will be appointed at various levels in the government schools of Bihar. This will include the reinstatement of teachers of classes 1 to 5 for primary schools, classes 6 to 8 for middle schools, classes 9 and 10 for secondary level and classes 11 and 12 for higher secondary level. With this, a large number of vacant posts can be filled in the state education department.

Domicile policy will be implemented for the first time

Why is TRE-4 recruitment important?

This recruitment of TRE-4 is very important like the previous steps. Lakhs of candidates had participated in the first phases. Now a large number of applications are expected to come in the fourth phase also. BPSC has also given the dates of many other examinations in the calendar, in which the preliminary examination of 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) will be held on 26 July 2026. However, TRE-4 is most discussed because it is related to teacher posts.

Candidates are advised to wait for the official notification. Application date, eligibility, age limit, exam pattern and other rules will be mentioned in the notification. It is believed that the notification for this recruitment may be released in March 2026. Applications will have to be made online on the BPSC website. The exam may include subjects like General Studies, Languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences. Syllabus will vary according to the level.

Bihar Public Service Commission is going to release the notification for the fourth phase (TRE-4) teacher recruitment very soon. BPSC has received a requisition for reinstatement from the government. Last Wednesday (February 11, 2026), this information was given by issuing a letter from the Controller of Examinations of Bihar Public Service Commission.

How many posts will be recruited in which category?

If we talk about class wise posts, there are about 10,500 vacancies for classes 1 to 5, about 8,500 for classes 6 to 8, about 9000 for classes 9 to 10 and about 16,500 for classes 11-12. Some posts may move back and forth, but it is almost certain that only around 45 to 46 thousand posts will remain.

Recently, while issuing a statement to the media in the Bihar Assembly complex, Bihar Government Education Minister Sunil Kumar had said that a notification for recruitment will be released soon. The Education Minister had also appealed to the candidates not to agitate. Till now BPSC has reinstated teachers in three phases. Now preparations for the fourth phase have started. Advertisement is likely to be released in the first week of March.
