After the summer vacation from June 1 to June 20, the schools were scheduled to open from Monday (June 22) at their normal time i.e. from 9:30 am to 4 pm, but late last Sunday evening, keeping in mind the severity of the weather and the health of the children, the department changed this order and increased the school hours from 6:30 to 12:30 pm.

In this regard, the Education Department (Secondary Education Office) has issued a new official office order on Monday (June 22). According to this new letter, due to the extreme heat in the state, the earlier orders have been partially amended. Till June 30, all primary, secondary and higher secondary schools across the state will operate under a special timetable from 06:30 am to 12:30 noon.

The fall in rain and temperature has given relief to the people from the heat, but the Meteorological Department has appealed to be cautious in view of lightning and strong winds.
