BIS Recruitment 2025: What should be the qualification?

For engineering related posts, the applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with 60% marks and GATE scores should be valid in 2023, 2024 or 2025. At the same time, candidates for chemistry should have a master’s degree in natural science (chemistry) and a valid gate score. The minimum marks have been given for SC/ST category.

BIS Recruitment 2025: What will selected candidates get?

Scientist-B selected in BIS will get a salary of close to Rs 1,14,945 per month. Apart from this, they will also get other allowances.

• Step 1: Candidates must first visit the official website bis.gov.in.
• Step 2: Then the candidate click on the “Career Opportunities” section.
• Step 3: After this, open the link “Click here to apply online”.
• Step 4: Then the candidates create a new account, fill the necessary information and login.
• Step 5: After this, the candidate fills the application form and submit it.
• Step 6: Then take out the print out of the candidates.

This recruitment process has started since 19 April 2025 and interested candidates can apply till 9 May 2025. Essential educational qualification
To apply in this recruitment, the candidate must have a master’s degree in B.Sc / B.Tech / Be / BNYS / Agronomy / Soil Science in the respective field.

Age limit
The maximum age of the applying candidate should not exceed 65 years. Reserve sections will be given a discount in the upper age limit as per government rules.

This will be selected
Applicants will be selected by shortlisted on the basis of educational qualification. After this, the selected candidates will be called for technical evaluation and interview. The selected candidates will be appointed on a one -year contract basis.
