Senior Congress leader, senior observer of Bihar elections and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot has termed the manifesto issued by NDA in view of Bihar elections as a pack of lies. During this time he has made many allegations against NDA. Addressing a press conference organized by Congress in Patna on Friday (31 October), Gehlot accused the manifesto of being released in just 26 seconds and BJP leaders running away from media questions.

What did Ashok Gehlot say on NDA’s manifesto?

Ashok Gehlot said on the manifesto of NDA alliance, ‘Today NDA released its manifesto, but in just 26 seconds they ended their press conference. Media colleagues said, ‘This was the quickest ending press conference of our lives.’

He further said, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi never meets the media and now BJP leaders ran away from the manifesto launch. This shows that BJP has no faith in democracy and these are dangerous signs.

Demand for report card from Nitish government

During the press conference, Gehlot demanded to give the report card from Nitish Kumar’s government and said, ‘First give your report card, in today’s manifesto everyone expected that you will start in such a way that we have made promises till date, this is its report card in twenty years, so that the public can believe that you do what you say, your credibility gets established, they did not do that and made more false promises.’

Senior observer Gehlot reminded Prime Minister Modi of his old promises, package for Bihar, sugar mill and answered questions to him and other NDA leaders. He said, ‘PM Narendra Modi had said that we are giving a package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore to Bihar. They should be held accountable for this.

Gehlot said, while taking another aim at Prime Minister Modi, he asked, ‘The sugarcane mill that will be set up will make sugar and I will come here and drink tea from it. Has he drank that tea till date?’

Voting for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections is to be held on 6 November (2025). Today (Friday), 6 days before the elections, the election manifesto has been released by the NDA. The resolution letter has been prepared keeping in mind the interests of the poor, youth, farmers and women. In this resolution, ‘Panchamrit’ guarantee has been mentioned which is for the welfare of the poor.

Many more guarantees were mentioned in the manifesto

On the other hand, many more guarantees like ‘Panchamrit’ have been talked about in the NDA manifesto. It has been said that every youth will be guaranteed a bright future. According to this It has been promised to provide more than one crore government jobs and employment. Farmer respect and MSP guarantee have been promised. The Industrial Revolution is guaranteed. Under the Bihar Industrial Mission developed through this, it has been said that an industrial revolution will be brought about with an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore. A promise of Rs 2,000 per month has been made to all the Scheduled Caste students studying in higher educational institutions.

A joint manifesto was released by the NDA on Friday (October 31, 2025) regarding the Ghobihar Assembly elections (2025). Many big promises have been made to the people of Bihar in this manifesto. Information about the manifesto was given in a press conference at Hotel Maurya located at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

On this occasion, BJP National President JP Nadda, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Bihar BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal and Dharmendra Pradhan were present. Apart from these, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Jha and Lalan Singh also participated. Didi will make one crore women lakhpati

Regarding the manifesto, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that more than one crore government jobs and employment will be provided. Bihar will be established as a global skilling center with mega skill centers in every district. The government will provide assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to women under the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana. Work will be done to make one crore women Lakhpati Didi. We will also start Mission Crorepati.

It has been said in the manifesto that assistance up to Rs 10 lakh will be given to various business groups of extremely backward class. A high-level committee will be formed under the chairmanship of a Supreme Court judge, which will assess the social and economic condition of various castes of the most backward class and give suggestions to the government to take appropriate steps for the empowerment of these castes.

Karpoori Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi will be started. Through this, farmers will be given a benefit of Rs 9000 per year. There will be an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore in agri-infrastructure. All major crops will be able to be purchased at MSP at the Panchayat level.

Promise made to build seven expressways

It is mentioned in the manifesto that Bihar Gati Shakti Master Plan will be presented. Seven expressways will be built. 3600 kilometers of railway track will be modernized. Amrit Bharat Express and Namo Rapid Rail service will be expanded. Metro will start in 4 new cities.

New Patna will have greenfield cities and satellite townships in major cities. The birthplace of Maa Janaki will be developed as a world class spiritual city ‘Sitarampur’. There will be international airports in Darbhanga, Purnia and Bhagalpur. Domestic flights will start from 10 new cities. State-of-the-art manufacturing units and 10 new industrial parks will be developed in every district. Along with this, many more announcements have been made.

Grand alliance had released the manifesto on 28th

The manifesto was issued by the Grand Alliance on October 28. The common manifesto of the grand alliance has been named ‘Tejaswi Pran’. Many big promises have been made in this manifesto of the opposition like implementing the old pension scheme, making an Act for a government job for every household within 20 days of the formation of the government. Tejashwi Yadav has given a statement that he will even sacrifice his life to fulfill this ‘pledge’.
