After the recent change of state presidents of four states, on Monday (June 1), BJP President Nitin Naveen has made Nagendra Nath Tripathi the national organizer (senior worker contact) of BJP. His center will be Delhi. Till now he was holding the responsibility of Regional Organization General Secretary of Bihar and Jharkhand.

Nagendra Nath Tripathi, who comes from the background of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, is counted among those prominent organizers of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who has worked behind the scenes for a long time to strengthen the organization. He is working as the General Secretary of the regional organization of Bihar-Jharkhand region of BJP. Before this, he had also been the Organization General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh BJP for about eight years.

Born in a farmer family in Belauli village of Sant Kabir Nagar district (then Basti) of Uttar Pradesh, Nagendra Nath Tripathi is the eldest child of his parents Girija Pati Tripathi and Ganesha Devi. During his schooling, he came in contact with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Basti itself. During his long stay in the Sangh, he worked as a propagandist and strengthened ideological and organizational activities among the youth.

Became Organization General Secretary of Bihar BJP in 2011

He also held responsibilities in Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), where he was recognized as a skilled organizer. In the year 2003, he was made the General Secretary of BJP Uttar Pradesh Organization. During this period, he paid special attention to organization expansion up to the booth level, worker training and election management. After serving the responsibility in Uttar Pradesh for almost eight years, in the year 2011, he was appointed Organization General Secretary of Bihar BJP.

Became General Secretary of Regional Organization of Bihar-Jharkhand in 2021

In August 2021, the BJP leadership appointed him the General Secretary of the Regional Organization of Bihar and Jharkhand. This post is considered very important from the organizational point of view, because the Regional Organization General Secretary also handles the responsibility of coordination between the party and the Sangh as well as election strategy and organization expansion. His presence on public platforms may be less visible, but his role in organizational decisions and strategic meetings is considered very influential.
