Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda said on Friday (October 31, 2025) that the Bihar assembly elections are a fight between the dark era of jungle raj of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the development era of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

In an election meeting in Bikram, Patna, the capital of Bihar, BJP President JP Nadda said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has moved rapidly on the path of development and we have to keep this path safe. He said, ‘One crore government jobs and other employment opportunities have been guaranteed in the NDA election manifesto. If the alliance comes to power again, new doors of employment will open for the youth of Bihar.

He further said, ‘There is also a proposal in the manifesto to change the name of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers to Karpoori Thakur Samman Nidhi, under which farmers will get a total of Rs 9,000 in three equal installments throughout the year. Earlier, farmers were given installments of Rs 2,000 three times.

Union Health Minister targeted RJD

Targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nadda said, ‘RJD means extortion, jungle raj and bullying.’ He said that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav raises the issue of migration to Bihar, whereas his father Lalu Prasad himself used to say that when Biharis go out, they wear gamchha and when they return, they wear suit and tie.

He said, ‘There was a time when the sound of generators used to echo in the villages and cities of Bihar, but today electricity has reached every house. Today there is internet in every village, due to which the content creators and influencers of Bihar are making their mark in the digital world.

More than 5 crore Biharis benefited from Ayushman Bharat scheme – Nadda

Union Health Minister JP Nadda said, ‘The Nitish Kumar led government has given financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to 75 lakh women. If NDA gets a chance again, an amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to every woman to make her self-reliant. He said that under the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to 62 crore people of the country, including more than 5 crore Biharis.

Rs 200 crore approved for construction of pucca roads in villages – Nadda

While campaigning in support of candidate Siddharth Saurabh from Bikram Assembly constituency of Bihar, Nadda said, ‘He laid the foundation stone of the Trauma Centre, approved the construction of a bridge in Naubatpur which will solve the traffic problem. Rs 200 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of metalled roads in villages. BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Nadda’s scheduled public meeting in Buxar district had to be canceled due to rain and bad weather.

During this, he targeted the opposition grand alliance including Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav and Congress. He said that Lalu-Rabri had pushed Bihar into the era of darkness, but today the NDA government is doing rapid development work.

He said, ‘RJD-Congress only do politics of dynasticism and appeasement, we do politics of development. RJD means – R means extortion, J means Jungle Raj and D means Dadagiri and these people consider themselves good in this. Therefore, when you go to vote, remember Lalu Raj’s goon rule and then vote.

Bihar is the land of Buddha, Aryabhatta, Mahavir and Chanakya – JP Nadda

Addressing the Prabuddh Jan Sammelan in Hajipur, Bihar, BJP National President JP Nadda said, ‘Bihar is a very sacred and virtuous land. This is the land of Lord Mahavir, Lord Buddha, Aryabhata and Chanakya. Nalanda is the holy land of universities like Vaishali. Under the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana in Bihar, Rs 10,000 has reached the bank accounts of about 75 lakh sisters. This is a great medium for women empowerment and self-employment for them.

He said, ‘Today Bihar and the country are progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, under the leadership of Modi ji, the country is safe, strong and progressing at a fast pace. Today, it has become such a strength of India that the entire Pakistan is within the range of our BrahMos missile and at one time during the Congress rule, the Home Minister used to say that we did not take any action against Pakistan because of foreign countries. It is the changing India under the rule of PM Modi which kills Pakistan by entering its own house. At the time of Pahalgam terrorist attack, PM Modi had told from this very land of Bihar that Pakistan has made a big mistake and we killed Pakistan by entering its house by doing Operation Sindoor.

During Lalu Yadav’s rule, stolen car was found at CM residence – JP Nadda

BJP President JP Nadda said, ‘Unfortunately, there came a period of 15 years of Lalu Yadav, which took Bihar to a very low level and created Jungle Raj. Anarchy was spread, law and order was destroyed and along with that, kidnapping industry started here in the name of industry. Kidnapping of doctors, kidnapping of lawyers and firing on them was common. Traders were kidnapped and then ransom was demanded. The most unfortunate thing is that the negotiations for these ransoms also took place in the Chief Minister’s residence. Under Lalu Raj, we have seen cases of such crimes that if a car was stolen, it was found in the Chief Minister’s residence and I have been an eyewitness to all these crimes.

Taunt on Tejashwi Yadav regarding Lalu Yadav’s statement

JP Nadda said, ‘Tejashwi Yadav talks about migration today. But they forget that their father had said that our Bihari goes wearing a blouse and returns wearing a tie suit. Tejashwi should be ashamed, because it was because of his family that Bihari people had to migrate. If we talk about the economic world, today there is no economic forum in the world which has not praised India’s economy. Today all the big agencies of the world are saying that India is a fast growing economy.

JP Nadda has repaired a video on the social media platform X and termed the claims of vote theft on the Election Commission by the Congress party and the opposition as scripted PR.

JP Nadda reposts the video

In the video that JP Nadda has reposted on X, a part of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing vote rights journey in Bihar is shown. In which a woman is seen complaining about the removal of some members of her family under the special intensive revision (SIR) process of the Election Commission in Bihar. In the second part of the same video, the woman is seen saying that she was asked to go in front of Rahul Gandhi during the vote rights journey.

At the same time, in the video, the original caption said, “Rahul Gandhi’s claim of vote theft has turned into a PR crisis. First the Election Commission gave a 7 -day ultimatum to present evidence about all the claims of Rahul Gandhi and now people themselves are exposing him from all sides.”
