Today (December 1, Monday) on the very first day of the winter session of Parliament, Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary got embroiled in a unique controversy. Actually, she reached Parliament with her pet dog in her car. As soon as this video of his surfaced, there was a stir in political circles and BJP termed it as playing with the dignity of Parliament and demanded action against him.

When the media questioned Renuka Choudhary on the incident, she retorted and said that the matter was being blown out of proportion unnecessarily. He said, “What is the problem in this? If a dumb animal comes inside, what is the big problem? It is small, it is not going to bite. There are other people inside the Parliament who are going to bite.” The controversy deepened as soon as his statement came to light.

Renuka Chaudhary responded to PM Modi’s statement

Renuka Chaudhary also responded to the comments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the opposition. He asked that if the government was so worried about the session, then why was the scheduled session of one month reduced to just fifteen days? He said, “Why are you worried about what issues we will raise in the House? Were the issues less? Then why was the session shortened?”

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal made allegations

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal accused Renuka Chaudhary of misuse of privileges and said that Parliament is a forum for serious discussion on the country’s policies, where such actions are against ‘extra-public conduct’ and the reputation of Parliament. He said, “Reaching Parliament with his dog and then making such comments brings shame to the country. Action should be taken against him.” He called it an insult to democracy and demanded a tough stance.

When he was asked whether any comparison could be made between Bhagat Singh and Hamas, he replied ‘yes’ and said, ‘They are fighting for their land. Bhagat Singh was also fighting for his land.

‘Hamas is fighting for freedom’

Masood further said, ‘Bhagat Singh made the supreme sacrifice for his land. Israel is about to occupy. For you, Hamas is a terrorist organization, but I believe that Hamas is fighting for its freedom. You are looking at the 250 people taken hostage by them (Hamas), but you are not looking at the 100,000 people who have been killed by Israel.

BJP’s sharp counterattack

He further said, ‘Leftists and Congress people glorify terrorist groups to make the Gandhi family look great and belittle all our heroes. Earlier, Kanhaiya Kumar had compared Bhagat Singh ji with Lalu Yadav! This is not the first time! Congress has insulted Bhagat Singh ji before also! He had done the same with Chandrashekhar Azad ji, Savarkar ji, Patel ji, Birsa Munda ji.

BJP’s reaction to Akhilesh’s statement

SP Chief is embroiled in controversy after his statement about not lighting candles. BJP has opposed his statement. There has been a reaction from BJP on this statement. BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said, ‘SP has been a party with anti-Hindu history and opposing the Ram Mandir movement.’

He says that the party which opened fire on Ram devotees and kept Ayodhya in darkness for years is now protesting against lighting of lamps. Shahzad further said that he was feeling proud when the SP leader celebrated in Saifai which did not benefit anyone.
